After Dawn~
Bella slowly opened her eyes, thinking it all had been a dream. The cold radiating off of someone's granite like skin reminded her of the super natural reality she was now a vital piece of. She was also met by a sudden glare of light, and she jumped back in surprise – to the other side of the room.
"Ha ha! Oh Edward, did you see her fly? Ha!" Emmett was rolling on the floor, his booming laughter attracting Renesmee's gaze.
"Very funny Emmett." Bella growled, stalking over to the couch to sit next to her daughter.
Edward glided almost silently into the room. His typical half-smirk adorned his angelic face, with hints of silent laughter etched in his expression.
"Bella, what captivated your attention for so long?" he chuckled, gesturing out the vast window.
" A day dream, that's all."
"About?"
Bella rolled her eyes.
"Edward, do you seriously think I'm going to discuss my little day dream in front of that?" she snorted, glaring at Emmett.
Emmett just laughed harder and waved the flashlight about. Edward shook his head, smiling. His liquid gold eyes bored into Bella's, the same burning love still residing in both pairs. Bella could feel Edward's silent, gentle probing curiosity within her mind. She let up her shield, watching him closely.
What do you want?
Edward's smirk widened. He ruffled through her memories, before coming to the meadow. Bella watched as her memories flashed before – rather behind her eyes. The sensation was odd, almost dizzying. Bella gave a tiny nod of comprehension, before standing up.
"We're going to go visit Charlie."
Carlisle looked up from behind a relatively new medical textbook. His gaze meandered from Edward to Bella, reading their expressions. A subtle hint of understanding came onto his attractive features.
"Try and return before 4, Jacob is coming over." he said.
"Jacob? Oh Jacob... " Renesmee breathed. She was now officially 7 years old, but was of the same emotional, logical, and physical maturity of a fifteen year old. Unfortunately, she had developed a very strong affinity for Jacob, and Jacob couldn't get enough of it. Edward had been very disgruntled and had reminded her many, many times that she was still half human, and he was in charge of her until she was 18 official years old.
The couple nodded , left the house, jumped the river, and went tearing off into the woods.
