Chapter 1

Meeting Jack

When I met Jack, I was human. But that didn't stop us from being best friends, no one approved, Mostly North and Toothina, because they knew we had grown closer than friendship. But that was over 200 years ago, before all this mess happened.

-flashback-

I, Annie, was walking home from going to the store for my mom, when all of a sudden I slip on ice that came out of no where! I fall right into the road as as a moving truck comes closer and closer to where I was laying, I couldn't move, I was frozen my tracks, my eyes wide as the truck came closer. I close my eyes, but then all of a sudden I'm sliding out of the way, my eyes blink open as the truck roars past where I was just laying. I look around for my hero, but everyone was just staring at me like I grew a second head. I shrugged it off and picked up the bags I had been carrying, and let out a small sigh. Out of nowhere a snowball hits me, as I'd I wasn't already angry.

I turned around, looking for anyone, "Who did that?!" I shouted. If almost dying didn't scare me to death, then I'm pretty sure what happened next did.

"I did." A voice replied, as they stepped out of the shadows. I blinked a few times as the teenage boy walked out. It was as if I was hypnotized by him, because my eyes never left him. I blinked a few times, "Ah, what am I kidding? You can't see me!" He shouted and turned away.

"See you?" I ask, he turned around, his mouth wide open. I was just a bit shorter than him, he was wearing a blue hoodie with what seemed like frost on it, brown pants. A staff that had frost all over it, his hair was a nice white color, and his eyes the perfect blue. He was pale, and had a wide smile on his face.

"You can see me?!" He shouted, I giggled softly.

"I guess, I mean your standing right in front of me." I shrugged, "Can't everyone?" I asked, an eyebrow raised a little.

"No." He snorted out with a sigh, "Only people that believe can. You didn't believe just a minute ago. What happened?" He asked, gently sitting his staf on the ground and sitting beside it, his head in his hands, his blue eyes staring at me with curiosity.

"I guess my near-death experience.. Wait, you saved me! Didn't you?" I ask, sitting down where I was standing, the bags by my side,

"Ah! I see some smarts coming to you now, missy." He said with a smirk.

"Lemme guess, your Jack Frost, right? You hang out with Santa, too, I bet." I snap, sarcastically, with a small grin.

"Smarter by the second." Jack grinned, "And not just North, I hang out with the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, and Sandman." He smirked widely. I rolled my eyes.

"Sure, Sure." I nod, looking Jack in the eyes, "And I guess your the one who caused me to slip on that ice, so you had to save me?" I snap. "Stop playing tricks on me," I demanded.

"Whoa, hey! I didn't mean for you to slip on the ice! And i'm not! I'm the real Jack Frost! I gave you a snow day off school today!" Jack snapped back at me.

"Okay, if your really Jack Frost, show me." I teasingly grin.

"Okay." He nodded, and pulled my hand out and breathed on it, making a snowball. I blinked a few times, my eyes wide.

"Whoa! That's awesome!" I grin, giggling like a little school. "Oh.. Er.. I mean, That's pretty cool." I say, clearing my throat.
