The Stalker

The Stalker

Author's Note: Oy. This is the first fanfiction I had ever written. It's.. not good. Extremely short. The ending is abrupt, mainly because I cannot write with depth. ;) This takes place in 3rd season.

Her footsteps echoed throughout the deserted hall. She tiptoed as quietly as possible, but still, the sound was deafening. She felt certain she'd be caught. Her eyes darted around nervously, checking out every corner, every shadow.

Her breath caught in her throat, she stopped by a corner, pressed against the wall. Gasping, her heart pounding in her chest, she peeked around--and let out a sigh. Much to loudly, in her opinion. Had he heard her? What if he was right behind her, just waiting to pounce? Biting her bottom lip so hard it drew blood, she whipped around, her hair catching across her face. Nobody there. She continued along the hall, still pressed against the wall. Less noticeable that way.

A noise. Where did it come from? She stopped in her tracks, glanced around, and noticed a shadow that wasn't there before. It was shaped like her follower. She did the first thing that popped in her head--she ran quietly into an open classroom. Where could she hide? He'd find her for sure under a desk. She turned and looked out towards the hallway. He was getting closer. She had no other choice--she ducked under the teacher's desk and held her breath.

The footsteps were getting closer. She was caught--she couldn't escape. Her stalker's head appeared below the desk and she let out a shriek of surprise. Or was it horror?

"Willow? You surprised me. Found you."

Willow reluctantly crawled out from the desk and hit her boyfriend lightly on the shoulder. He gave her a mock-shocked look as he rubbed his shoulder.

"Hey! You sure take Hide 'n' Seek seriously..."

End.
