The NightWorld Curse
"I can't believe I'm actually doing this." Mary Lynette Carter said outloud.
"Trains from New York City to Night Town departs at seven am." The P.A announced.
Mary Lynette settled down in her seat. "Yes!" She thought to herself. She was finally going to Night Town for the Halloween festival. She had done so much to get on this train to Night Town for example defying her parents.
(Flashback)
"NO!" Mr. Carter denied after Mare asked.
"Why?" Mare demanded. "I can go to Paris which is on another continent. But I can't go to a town in America."
"Your father is right, Mary Lynette darling." Her step mother Claudine said.
"No! I want to go." Mare protested.
"The decision is final!"Mr. Carter said sternly.
With that, he stormed back to his room. Later that night, Mare snuck out at 3 am to go to the train station. She could not agree with her parents. She was eighteen, why did they say no? She swiftly jolted back to the present.
"Ma'am, ticket please." An attendant inquired eagerly.
Mare turned and the attendant looked down at her ticket and then looked up at her again. Her beauty was such, you couldn't miss it. Mare blushed and smiled meekly. The attendant apologized profusely.
"Is this seat taken?" A handsome voice like velvet said.
Mare turned and caught herself mesmerized by the most beautiful green eyes. The stranger had dirty blonde hair. He was a gift sent by the gods.
