"After all we've been through, is there no way to save kohaku!?" Sango cried out.
"Sango there is no way we can bring the dead back to life. This is just how life works." said the inconsiderate Inuyasha.
"OSUWARI!" Kagome shouted
Inuyasha fell to the floor with a big loud thud. "OUCH!" he screamed out in pain.
Miroku moved closer to Sango and laid his arm on her shoulders.
"Sango… You have done whatever you can to save him. I'm sure he is happy just knowing you tried. But like what Inuyasha said, the dead cannot be brought back to life. We still have to carry on with life when death happens." Miroku tried to encourage his loved one.
"I have NO ONE now! I should have just died the day Naraku attacked our family. I wouldn't have gone through so much pain than!" Sango shouted before running into the nearby forest.
Miroku was about to chase after her when Kagome stopped him.
"Wait Miroku, you stay here with Kirara and Shippo. Inuyasha, follow me!" Kagome ordered.
Kagome jumped onto Inuyasha's back and he ran into the forest to look for Sango.
After the two of them left, Miroku sat down on the soft, green grass.
"What did she mean she has no one? Aren't I here for her?" he thought to himself.
In the forest…
"Inuyasha, you wait here. I'll go look for Sango and encourage her" Kagome ordered once again.
Inuyasha just listened like an obedient dog and sat down under a tree. After all, he didn't want to get Kagome to say osuwari again.
"Sango! Sango! Where are you?"Kagome shouted as she walked deeper into the forest. She soon heard the sound of someone sobbing .She headed towards the sound to find Sango crouched under a tree. Kagome sat beside her.
"Sango I know it hurts to lose your family but you still have to carry on with life."
"I have lost everything. I have nothing to look forward to in life anymore!"
"Yes you do Sango. This person has always been there for you."
Sango looked at Kagome confused.
"Miroku." Kagome answered.
Sango was surprised. It was true they loved each other. In fact, Miroku had asked to marry Sango once. She felt guiltier when she realized she probably would have hurt him just now.
"Sango lets go back. They must be getting worried."Kagome suggested.
Sango nodded and they walked back together.
"Sango, you're back! I was so worried."Miroku said as soon as he saw them walk out of the forest.
Sango strolled towards Miroku.
"Sorry…."she told him.
"Don't say that. It is my job to worry for you. By the way, Kagome, where did Inuyasha go?"Miroku asked her.
Kagome suddenly remembered that she left Inuyasha behind. She ran into the forest to look for him. She soon found him under the tree sleeping. Seeing him sleep so peacefully, Kagome did not want to wake him up. So, instead she sat beside him and soon she fell asleep on his shoulder.
Sango then suddenly gave Miroku a hug and started to cry. Miroku stroked her head with one hand while the other hand went towards her…….
"MIROKU!!!" Sango yelled.
A hand went flying towards Miroku and Sango slapped him, hard. Ah well… Miroku always ruined every sweet moment they had. As he watched Sango walk into the forest to look for Inuyasha and Kagome, he smiled and rubbed the spot where she slapped him.
