So this is based on rupees falling from trees in many of the Legend of Zelda games. Whether you were doing it because you needed the money, by accidental contact or for your cruel and unusual humor, you've all rammed Link into something before.
A wall, rock, person, tree, or other inanimate object? You've all done it. I know you have. :)

He stared it down as if it was his enemy, but instead of having out his sword, it remained sheltered in this sheath. Link drew up his arms as if he were about to tackle a sumo-wrestler. He positioned his feet about the width of his shoulders and squatted down. Hunched over he made a noise in his throat that sounded similar to a growl. A growl? What on earth was Link up to?
Suddenly Link bolted forward and sprinted at his target. With the wind blowing directly at his face, Link briefly shut his eyes for a second, only to open them wildly again.
I won't miss this time.
He came closer in distance. It would only take a moment to get there. Link was only feet form this target when someone called out his name.
"Link? What are you doing? Look out!"
Link snapped his head in the direction of the distraction. Over the grass and trees, Link spotted Ilia running towards him.
Wait! He wasn't paying attention? He was going to run into that-!
Link abruptly turned his head back, only to ram into a hard surface. His face collided with the bark of a tree; Link could feel the bruise and hollered at the impact. He clamped his gloved hands over his face and kneeled to the ground. He hunched over and shut his eyes. The pain was excruciating. Link wondered if he had a hole in his face.
Ilia rushed over to link, calling his name in a worried voice. "Link?Link! Are you hurt?"
His face was still in his hands when she kneeled down next to him on the ground.
He gave a muffled response and looked away.
Ilia hesitated for a second at his unwillingness and then gently pulled on his arms. "Link… let me see."
At first Link didn't remove his hands, and simply moved over one of his fingers so his eye could peer out. Seeing Ilia's concern, Link felt slightly guilty. He removed his hands and folded them into his lap.
Ilia gave out a gasp and moved back. Link's face was covered in purple and black bruises. It looked as if someone punched Link in the face a thousand times over.
"What happened to your face?"she shrieked. Ilia covered hand over her mouth and shook her head.
"Running into trees hurts." Link simply replied back and shrugged his shoulders. He rubbed his cheek bones and sighed.
It took a second for it to click in Ilia's mind what he was talking about. Now Ilia was more angered than concerned, seeing Link's lack of consideration for his well-being. "Why in Hyrule were you ramming into trees in the first place? Link, I swear, you're going to knock yourself out…or worse!" She scolded and stood up with her hands on her hips.
"Ilia, I thank you for your concern, but this is how I make my money. See?" Link turned around and searched the ground expecting there to be a rupee. Getting up, he crossed over a few feet and picked up a single, green rupee.
"See?" Link said again with a wide grin on his face and held it up to Ilia to prove his point.
"…You idiot." She shook her head and began to walk away.
Link rubbed his cheek again with his free hand and looked down at his lone rupee.
"At least one dropped this time." He murmured to himself.
