Author's Note: Light fic for me today because I was short on time for this one *blames work*. Actually, my original ideas for this one were much more angsty/nostalgic, like "Never Alone" turned out. Funny how things flip-flop, isn't it?
This is another one for the Traveller's Tales prompt-challenge at doctor_donna on LJ. This was prompt number 38, "railway".

"The Orient Express?" Donna repeated the Doctor's idea, eyeing him with suspicion. "Why do you want to try that?"
"Oh, it won't be my first time," he said off-handedly as he stuck his hands in his pockets. "But that's not the point; it's just for the fun of it. We've met Agatha Christie, and I thought you might like to see where she got one of her other ideas. Well, where she took one of the ideas that you planted in her head, anyways."
Donna smirked at the memory. She really should have made that woman sign a contract. "Do you think we could have the trip minus the murder this time?" she asked.
"Aw, come on! Where would the fun be in that?"
"Doctor!"
"Sorry." He made his face appropriately serious. "I'll, erm, try my best to get us there on an uneventful day."
She nodded once, looking smug. "Thank you, Spaceman. Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go get dressed before we get there."
"Dressed? What do you mean, dressed? You're already dressed, what do you need to get dressed for?"
"Look, you may be alright with wearing the same two or three suits over and over and over; but this is the Orient Express, and I'm going to have some fun. It's not like you normally warn me in time so I can look the part."
"Donna, people don't even notice our clothes most of the time –"
"Oh, I know; but that's not what matters." She rolled her eyes. "Don't you know that even big girls like to play dress-up?"
