I'd never really think to find myself sitting on a rotted stump, and dead leaves blowing past me. A mild breeze created a small chill in the air. I looked down at the pair of jeans and a hoodie that sat in my lap, and the shoes beside me. God Kellan and Ryan were taking forever. The leaves began to softly crunch behind me. It was one of those horror movie moments where the victim is about to come face to face with their killer. I turned my head, a russet wolf store back at me. "Phew, it's only you Peej. You had me worried you were something or someone else." I sighed out of relief. The rust colored wolf bared its teeth at me; Pj's wolf form of smiling. In a flash of light the wolf exploded into a blast of white hot light. I shielded my eyes and when the light faded, Pj was in its place. My Pj, the one who had befriended me when I moved here and had nobody but my mom to talk to. He stood there his favorite pair of blue jeans ripped up to above his knees, and his shirt was in tatters somewhere amongst the trees. He walked closer to me his bare feet crunching against the lightly damp leaves closer to my seat. I handed him his clothes. Pj wasn't my idea of a werewolf. His skin was a pasty color similar to mine; He was tall with a bit of muscle. Pj's black hair was freshly dyed, a streak of green flopping over one of his brilliant blue eyes. Weren't werewolves of Native American descent? He smiled again at me, his lip ring glinting in the autumn sun. Pj sat cross legged beside me, once fully clothed again. "How far are they?" I impatiently asked.
"God Casey! You are so impatient! They're about 20 minutes from here. No worries." he answered sniffing the air lightly. The large tent behind us rustled, on the verge of tipping over. I jumped. "Hey, calm down" Pj soothed grabbing hold of my shaking hand. As far as we were concerned we were just friends with non sexual-benefits for now. The tent rustled again and I jumped. I hated horror movies; let's hope this weekend wouldn't be the equivalent of one and that everything would be fine.
I looked up from Pj's, and my hands instantly pulling away when there was a soft rustle from across the clearing. I near instantly stood at the faintest sight of my other two friends from the brush. "Kelly!" I exclaimed running to him. I never realized how much taller he was than me. I was only 5'4, and one hundred and twenty pounds. Kellan was at least, 6'3 and was all muscle. I smiled as I felt him hug me and spin me around a few times, I felt like I was flying, and that was a feeling I couldn't imagine not having. It was only Kellan who would spin me like that; it made me feel like a kid again.
"It's great to see you too Casey." Ryan spoke from beside Kellan. I had nearly forgotten about him. I tried to subside my dizziness as I bounded over and stopped in front of him. "Hey Ryho! How's my Ryry doing" I asked pulling him in for a hug and addressing him by about every nickname that I call him on a regular basis. "Just peachy" He pouted. At least Ryan should be happy, it's our weekend the last one before our sophomore year.
