Trying to set the night on...Fire!
-The Doors 'Light My Fire.'
They sat silently by the stream, their hands interlocked. Her face was pale, a porcelain pale, and her eyes matched the moon. His eyes were a beautiful sky blue, but his hair was a fiery red. They sat there, just being with each other. Neither one of them were really big talkers, even if the girl had gotten stronger, and more forward in the past years.
The young Kazekage turned to the Hyuuga heiress, her eyes shone, big and bright, almost identical to the full moon out tonight. She was the first one to break him out of the shell he had put around himself. Her beauty had capture him, her kind and caring self had kept him in.
She leaned lighting on his broad shoulder, letting herself be taken in by the ex-demon of the sand. The rain droplets slowly descending upon them, but they didn't move.
"They finally except us." Hinata murmured to the man beside her. Young and in love, it would all fade away. That's what Hyuuga Hiashi had said to his daughter, last year, when she had been seventeen, and finally told her about the one person who she connected to. The one person she loved.
Now, over a year later, both teens at the good age of eighteen, one, a powerful Kage, the other, and elite jounin, gaining that position because of the person next to her. She was one of the next people in line to be accepted to the ranks of ANBU, truly proving herself to her clan, even if she had already given up her position. Hinata was, by all means, capable of running the Hyuuga clan. Though, she realized, it was not her passion. Her younger sister, Hanabi, though loved it. The true strength, the power to lead, to form and mold a clan. It would chain Hinata down, while it helped her sister gain power. So at Hanabi's eighteenth birthday, she would become the Hyuuga leader, her sister standing by her side, even if her dream did come true and she stayed with her lover.
The man stayed quiet, holding the woman next to him a little tighter. "When?" He asked, and she knew completely what he was talking about, even if it was never mentioned.
"When she hits Jounin level. She is already proven herself greatly, at Chuunin level at thirteen, but unlike Shikamaru, she is still pushing herself to gain more strength to help her lead. By the time she is fifthteen, just like me, she will reach Jounin level, and we being twenty can finally marry."
They sat in silence, just holding each other in the poring rain. He always said she was like the rain, beautiful, yet mysterious at the same time.
"I love you."
"I love you also, Gaara."
I am full of regrets of all the things I have done and said.
