"HEY!" A rough voice echoed through the forest. A man in blue halted, his carbon eyepatch glinting in the harsh sunlight. His hand rose steadily, placed on his gun. "Who goes there?" Masamune gazed cautiously at his surroundings, emerald green eyes narrowed. A footstep. He whipped out his gun at a nearby bush. "Who are you?" Out from the bush, rose a grizzly bear. Its empty brown eyes pierced holes through Masamune, jagged white teeth pulled back in a menacing growl. "ROOAAAR!" Masamune gripped the gun harder, aiming at the beast's chest and- "HEY!STOP!" A female voice, the one from before. A pale maiden, dressed in red and gold, ran in between him and the bear. He gritted his teeth. "What do you think you're doing?" He yelled. Her amber brown eyes shot back at him. "I should be asking you the same question! How dare you attempt to shoot Cubby!" Masamune lowered his weapon, baffled. "What?! Who's Cubby? You better move out of the way woman, I'm going to shoot that beast!" Instead, to his dismay, the woman stayed put, hands placed on her hips defiantly. "I have a name you know! It's Kai, Kai of the proud Hojo clan! And this so called "beast" is my pet Cubby!" Masamune's eyes widened, caught off guard. His mouth twitched into a smirk, and he burst into gales of laughter. "HAHAHAHA!" He pointed a mocking finger at the bear. "A beast as a pet? You must be crazy!" Kai raised her chin up arrogantly. "It takes one to know one!"
