Bosco's Reward

This is a continuation of what I think may have happened after Bosco and Faith broke up the bank robbery in Ladies Day.

"So, you're okay then?" she asked him.

"Yup," Bosco replied over the phone as he stood out in front of the bank, shattered glass and shell casings at his feet. Crime technicians were going over the scene and he watched Faith and Emily pull away from the scene. He breathed a sigh of relief that his partner and her daughter were okay.

"YOU okay?" he asked into the phone.

"Why wouldn't I be. I'm not the one that did more than survey the situation. I think those were the Chief of Patrols words, weren't they Boscorelli?" she said sarcastically.

"Shit happened," he replied simply.

"Uh huh. So, where are you going now?" she asked him quietly.

"Um, I have some paperwork to finish up at the station," he stated.

"Can't you let that wait until tomorrow?" she suggested.

"I don't know. I'm just getting into my Sergeant's good graces. I don't wanna screw it up, you know?" he lamented.

"Oh, I think he'll understand after what you've been through. You need to be debriefed. No pun intended," she joked into the phone.

"Didn't I tell you? My Sergeant is a 'she'," he corrected her.

"Okay, SHE'LL understand that you need to be debriefed. No pun intended," she restated.

"I don't know. She can be a real hardass," he teased.

"It's not a suggestion, Boscorelli," came her aggravated voice over the phone. "And bring that paramedic uniform with you."

"Yes, Ma'am. I'll be right over, Sergeant Cruz," he said, disconnecting the phone and putting it into his pocket. He took one more look around at the scene that had unfolded and headed off into the night, still wearing Carlos' clothes.

Just a little tongue-in-cheek opinion of what may have happened after the smoke cleared. Hope you enjoyed it.
