Disclaimer: I am... So sorry for whatever you're about to read. No thought has gone into this, I just wanted to try out my hand in the RWBY fandom. Apperently this fandom isn't the most friendly, but I'm open-minded so... Yeah, forgive whatever tripe comes to mind as I write this schlock. Enjoy!
"Whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooa!"
"Look out!"
"Gangway!"
Students left and right yelping in shock, barely dodging in time from the lethal, canine-looking Grimm bolting through the halls of Beacon, its white armoured neck wrapped by a tight rope as it dragged two yelling men scraping their arses on the carpet, fabric nearly on fire. The two men in question? One short of stature, the other much taller, both gripping onto the rope of the runaway monster.
Therefore, bumping their sides into every corner of the hallway they past by.
"Ow!"
"Oof!"
"God I need a witness!"
"Pardon us!"
Needless to say, the vast students in uniform wandering down the halls to their next classes were... Understandably confused, frightened and stunned from nearly getting trampled on from a loose dog Grimm, barely moving out the way in time.
The shorter man, at the front of the two being forcibly dragged through the halls with their burning posteriors, widened blue-green hazel eyes behind medium-sized glasses, calling out frantically behind him. "Aura!"
"Yeah?!"
"Remember that one time we tested how hard you can fall?!"
"...Uhhhhhhh, yeah...?"
The shorter man gulped and nodded. "We're about to do to re-test."
For the other end of the new hallways led to a mere, open window, precisely where the dog Grimm intended for, as both men suddenly yelled out the closer they had gotten. And judging how massively impressive the academy was in height, good chance their likelihood of survival following the jump would be... Slim.
Yet, fortunately, timing was everything. For the sharp point end of a red and black scythe sliced flawlessly down upon the rope, upon the very moment the growling canine with gleaming blood eyes leaped out into the rather depressing world.
Thus, resulting in both men abruptly ceasing in their screams and rolling helplessly on the floor, impacting right beneath the window. Groans of pain and aches following suit. Pulling the edge of her deadly weapon from the seal, a certain young team leader sheepishly chuckled from the repercussions of her actions.
"Uh, whoops, my bad! You guys okay?"
More groans was the first answer, as the girl's following teammates were quick to join up, the shorter, dazed man offered a strong hand for assistance. Hazel slowly looking up to meet violet, a cheesy grin appearing on his bearded face.
"Hello..."
The blonde powerhouse of a woman merely gave a coy smile, assisting the man back up, as the others females helped the taller man to stand and recompose himself. Soon enough, both previously doomed adults looking to one another, blinking as everything that just happened a few seconds prior caught up.
...

...
"Heh..."
"Hahahahahaha..."
"Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!" Team RWBY bore witness to the men suddenly bursting out in laughter, embracing each other tightly with relieved, disbelieving expressions on their faces for having gone through that nonsense. Both guys grinned widely to each other, as the taller spoke.
"Jack..."
"'Sup...?"
"Let's never try to impress by bringing in a wild Grimm again, alright?"
"Sure thing..."
"It was a pretty idiotic thing to do..." Weiss Schnee murmured, observing the smiling duo with a perked cool brow. Obviously they weren't students. The shorter man - 'Jack' - was in a woolly shirt, blue pants and black shoes. More peachy skin than most, and relatively shorter than most males of his age. Dark, wildly long brown hair with loose shades of black and white in some areas, with an unkempt goatee. Black glasses present before a mixture of blue green-eyes.
The taller man, by contrast, possessed more pale skin, almost twice as tall as his associate. Shorter white locks with dark brown by the end edges, clothing of a long, grey overcoat, pale blue buttoned shirt, grey-white pants and black trainers. No facial of his own, and looking just a tad younger than the other with height disregarded. Yet similar eye colours and-
Similar... Voices? Siblings, perhaps? Fraternal twins? Regardless, they were obviously new to Beacon.
"Why would you even do that anyway?" Yang Xiao Long cocked her head, fists on hips with an expectant look, examining the newcomers up and down curiously. "Who are you guys anyway?"
"They would be the help we've been searching for."
All six heads turned towards the new voice, belonging towards a certain Headmaster and his assistant approaching towards the group. The latter looking more annoyed than anything, with the former giving a vague smile of knowing. The two men grinned at the sight and walked to meet up with the head of the academy, despite limping a little along the way.
"Foolishly bringing an untamed Grimm into the school with no regard for welfare and safety..." Goodwitch muttered, glancing up to Ozpin sternly. "You mentioned they were eccentric, not reckless."
Ozpin had the boldness to callously shrug. "With them, it comes hand in hand. Aura, Jack." He nodded in friendly greeting to the duo upon in reach, happily shaking their offered hands one at a time.
"Ozpin." The taller man, Aura, beamed cheerfully alongside his counterpart. "Sorry we took so long. Our ride here was delayed."
"Catching a Grimm was no picnic either." Jack shrugged, further inciting Professor Goodwitch's darkened look, and the light laughter of some of the team from behind them. Ozpin, meanwhile, kept on smiling in humoured fondness, no stranger to these antics.
"Is it just you two assisting us? We were hoping that..."
Aura's mood sobered then, shaking his head with a knowing smile. "The King sends his apologies, Headmaster, but with so many imbalances of late, he couldn't afford to send anymore Twilight Warriors than us. So... Here we are." Widening arms to gesture for himself and his friend meekly.
"But hey, we're all that's needed!" The shorter warrior attempted to bring in the positive. "With our help, whatever's plaguing your world this time will be sorted out in no time!" Fisting the air with genuine, confident enthusiasm.
Your world? Yang mouthed to both Weiss and Blake Belladonna, both whom collectively shrugged in equal befuddlement, or indifferent. Hard to tell often with either of those teens. Their team leader, however, in the form of Ruby Rose raised her hand and eagerly called out. "Excuse me!" All gazes fixed on the sheepish young woman, whom beamed with open questioning. "Are these new students, Headmaster? Transfer students or something?"
Jack suddenly burst out in laughter, startling a few whereas Aura smirked, closing his eyes. The former jabbing a thumb to the young leader and stating cheerfully, "That's adorable! She think we're here to learn how to be k-"
"No, young lady." Aura suddenly interjected before his associate could finish that, albeit hastily, prompting Blake's blazing yellow eyes to narrow thoughtfully. "We're actually here on business."
"Speak for yourself, brother..."
So they ARE related. Weiss thought, quietly observing the display with mild interest.
Ozpin would clear his throat soon enough, garnering all attention back on him, as the elder man happily clarified for the audience. "On the contrary, Miss Rose, our new friends here have come to help in a grave matter." Motioning to the waving, shorter warrior. "Mr. Jack here is to be an assistant, for our new substitute Professor." Before idly glancing to the other man, as the whole team's jaws dropped, but Goodwitch's clenched. "Professor Aura, whom will be teaching classes for the next semester until their work is complete."
AN: Okay, provided that, somehow, this fic doesn't get removed by the next day or so when I look back at this and shake my head in disgust, one of the love interests will be Yang for one of the two OCs. Who should the other be?
(Update: Blitz I'm calling you out! Friend who got me back into RWBY suggest I should just flat out have one OC get Yang and Blake, while the other gets Ruby and Weiss. And to change the rating from T to M. What do you guys think?)
Ruby, or Blake? Follow-up question: Which OC should end up with Yang, and which with either Blake or Ruby? Still haven't really decided what point in the show this takes place in... Or should be it's own entire AU...?
Probably best it was an AU, as my knowledge of everything past volume one is... Muddled, honestly.
I haven't seen RWBY for a few years now, only up to some point during volume two. So forgive any and all inaccuracies and character-breaking moments I may have already/will make. I am open to any advice, information and foreknowledge in the future, as they would be greatly appreciated. Criticism is about helping, after all.
Let's see how this goes! Until then, my friends!
