Disclaimer: I do not own the characters.
Dedication: To Caryl, who has recently revived my love for poetic innuendos.
And to this scorching Australian summer heat – which has prevented me from using my computer lately (someone buy me a laptop cooling pad!)
Bella's whole world was so warm, oh so very warm; and it was unusually so.
Perspiration was dripping from her forehead and beads of sweat were collecting between her breasts and her thighs.
She wondered just how long he'd keep her waiting, the smile on Edwards's face teasing and amused by her temper, doing little to relieve her of the knot building in her abdomen, coiled in strict anticipation.
She stared at him slaving away in front of her - slowly, oh so slowly - to fulfil her pleasure and started fidgeting as he showed signs of the long awaited and anticipated finale.
"Ahh…" she moaned taking it from him, a sensation rushing through her veins, spreading to every part of her, a hint of a smile on her sticky moist face.
He wearily took in her drained, melting appearance, and dropped beside her on the soft padding.
"Thank you," she slurred thickly ice cream in her mouth, manners gone with the overwhelming heat. "I can't believe it's so hot. Here, in Forks of all places!"
"I can't believe you actually waited for me to finish making the ice cream. I thought you were going to pounce on me," he said awed watching her close her eyes to savour the cold go down.
"I can't believe you're absorbing this heat. You're supposed to be my cool man," she grumbled, her temper melting away with the ice cream.
"I still your man though," he replied cheekily, her favourite crooked grin appearing on his face. He reached over to place her on his lap, holding her close. She happily obliged, taking the bowl of ice cream as she relocated.
"Yes. Yes, you are."
Author's Note: A sort of sorry for the next (delayed) Second Chances chapter - its a long one!
