"We have to get out of the building, Tony," Ziva said as he pulled him out of the bullpen and towards the elevator. They didn't know how much time they had, no one was safe.
"You go," he replied,"I have to make sure everyone is out." He didn't want to leave her side but he had to, he knew it was his job to save others. No matter how much he wanted to run away with her, just hold her hand and run, he couldn't do it.
"No I'm not leaving you. You're my partner, we are going to do this together," she said with a tight voice, obviously worried about him. She was so scared, she didn't know what was going to happen next.
"Ziva, I'm not going to risk losing you again," he said as he thought back to Somalia, "Now you leave the building and stay safe, I'll be out there soon"
"Tony I'm not going to leave you. I couldn't imagine what would happen if you didn't make it-" She couldn't finish her sentence before Tony grabbed her and kissed her. She was completely surprised. Her hand reached up and touched his face. His hands cupped hers, he could feel how her cheeks were wet as tears rolled down from her eyes.
"Please, Ziva." Is all he could manage to whisper to her and she looked into his eyes, tears still streaming down her face.
"I love you, find me as soon as you make it out," she choked out as she kissed him one more time.
"I love you too. I'll be out sooner than you think," he joked as she turned and ran to the elevators, tearing up as he watched her go.
