Well, here's a little one-shot I wrote involving Green x Blue. I might continue it, I dunno. Depends on if it gets any notice. XD

Also, Green, Blue, and Red in here are older, around the ages of 18. I've never read the manga, or watched the anime, but here it is. Please enjoy, and as always, leave a review.

The song in this story isn't mine- It's called Heartbeat by Carrie Underwood. I normally don't listen to country, but I'm a sucker for duets.

It was the kind of kiss that made everything else just... disappear. For fifteen blissful seconds, Green had forgotten that she hated this dude half the time, she had forgotten about his arrogant smirk and annoying ego. All she could think of was the feel of his lips on hers, his arms encircling her waist, rubbing the small of her back. And her own hands, traveling up to entangle themselves in his thick hair.

She forgot about her promises to Red. All of her morals just went out the door, crashing through the hinges and running away with reckless abandon. Never mind the fact that her boyfriend of six months was waiting patiently outside the door, never mind that fact that this was Blue here- stupid, annoying, egotistical and frankly bitchy Blue- all that mattered right now was the feel of his lips on hers, the pooling warmth in her stomach, and the way their bodies molded together perfectly.

And for a split second, Green wondered how in the hell this had happened.

"You're coming with us, and that's final!" Green snapped, throwing her empty pokeball at Blue's face. He swatted it away boredly, focusing his hard gaze on her. She hated it when he looked at her like that, as if trying to solve some complicated equation.

"I'm not going to go to some stupid prom with you and your... Boyfriend," he sneered, leaning back in his reclining chair. In his lap sat his Xbox controller, his headset resting around his neck like a necklace. His brown hair fell in shaggy waves down to his chin, and he flipped it out his face regularly. Green drew another pokeball and chucked it at his face, before raining down a barrage of balls on Blue.

"Stop being such a loner and come have fun for once!" She demanded, pulling out two duskballs. He was such a debbie-downer all the time, and ever since he lost the battle for championship to Red he'd taken to staying in his room and playing Grand Theft Legendary. He almost never left his house, kept his curtains drawn, to the point of his skin taking on a pale shade- if anything, he'd become a dark type pokemon. The duskballs would have to work. She threw them both, one hitting his arm and the other one missing the mark by several feet.

Blue snorted, shaking his head. "Did you skip the lesson where Gramps taught us to throw a-" He was cut off when a masterball slammed into his nose, knocking his head back. "Dammit, Green!"

Green fought of a grin and tried to look concerned, as if it wasn't her attention to knock some fucking sense into him. However, her smirk quickly faded when a trickle of blood became a steady stream falling from his nose and trailing down his shirt.

"Oh shit- that was an accident," she muttered, skimming his messy room for tissues. Finding none, she reached into her bag and pulled out- a tampon.

Blue looked at her with what seemed like actual fear in his eyes. "Don't you come near me with that thing. I mean it," he glowered, scooting back in his chair. Slowly, as if pursuing a cornered Pokemon, Green made her way forward, sliding the tampon out of it's sheath.

"Stop being a wuss-puss and man up for once!" She snarled, coming over and pushing his head back, albeit rather roughly. She leaned in, lifted her shirt and dabbed at the blood above his upper lip. Blue winced, but his brown eyes never left her face. Something inside her fluttered, and she let out the smallest of breaths- this was Blue here. There was no reason for her to feel nervous.

Slowly, she slid the tampon up his nose, ignoring his angry sighs.

"Say," Green began, looking down at him. They were nose to nose now, inches apart. "That's not a bad look for you."

The male rolled his eyes, reaching up and sliding his headset over his ears, positioning the mouthpiece. He seemed annoyed, but Green thought that for a second, his gaze softened.

"How does this look?" Green asked, coming out the dressing room. Red and Blue took in her form with a critical eye.

"Beautiful, as always," Red said, grinning. And it was true- the white dress accentuated her form perfectly, tightly gripping her curves before ending in a fish-tail like bottom. Blue, on the other hand, tilted his head and stared at her for a moment longer.

"No," he finally decided, shaking his head. "I don't like it."

Green's face flashed with hurt, and she lowered her eyes. However, his voice drew her back from her thoughts.

"I always thought you always looked better in purple. It makes your eyes sparkle more," Blue began, but as the other two stared at him with an incredulous look in their eyes, he quickly changed tunes. "But either way, you'd look terrible."

Green sat on her bed, forcing her toes into black heels, wincing at the lack of comfort it provided. Her dress was short, falling just above her knees, and the back had a long tail. In the end, she had settled on a grey one without straps and a built-in bra. It gave her considerable bust, and she had applied her makeup to give her a smoky look.

Next to her, her phone buzzed. She eagerly typed in her password- 151- and groaned. It was from Red.

Running a little late. Be there by 5.

It was currently 4:20, and she had nothing else to do. Blue, if he actually showed up, would be here in a few minutes, and that would mean having to deal with his attitude the entire time. By herself. For a second, she questioned why she even invited him, but quickly brushed the thought aside. Blue, although he was an asshole, was her friend.

Her terribly hot, annoying, infuriating friend.

Once again, her phone buzzed, but this time, it was a call. She answered it, knowing it was Blue.

"Are you coming or not?" She snapped, unable to keep the annoyance out of her voice. She could hear his smile over the phone.

"I'm not really turned on at the moment, but that could easily change. Hey, Green?" He asked, and she could hear a hint of nervousness in his voice. How uncharacteristic, she thought.

"Yeah?"

"Can you answer the door? It's starting to rain."

She hadn't even heard him knock. Green rushed out the room, and her ankle fell to the side, causing her to fall flat on her face. She grunted in pain and got to her feet, turning the knob and swinging open the door to her apartment.

And there he was, in all his glory. Blue had attempted to comb his hair, but left it messy. Other than that, he looked- good. His black suit and blue tie brought out his eyes, and in his hand was a bouquet of tulips. Rain dripped down his face, sinking into his suit, and he flipped his hair back and smirked.

"Are you done staring?" He asked, and Green glowered for a moment, before yanking him inside and shutting the door. Blue gave a quick look around. "Where's the lucky guy?"

She bit her lip, not wanting to say he's late, or worse, not showing up. Blue let out a loud laugh, leaning up against a wall. "He stood you up, huh? Probably ran off with that girl Misty."

Green's eyes narrowed. "First off, he didn't stand me up, he's late. And what do you mean, Misty?"

Silence. Blue cleared his throat and adjusted his tie, avoiding eye contact.

So the rumors were true. Just fucking fantastic.

She must have looked pretty broken up, because Blue came over with a sad look on his face, not hesitating before pulling the whimpering girl in his arms. He rested his chin on her head and rocked her from side to side, murmuring words in her hair.

"Sorry. I never should've even brought that up. Maybe it's just a rumor," he soothed, but Green knew the truth. It was just this feeling in her gut, but she trusted it. "Whatever. It doesn't matter- he doesn't matter."

The fact only made her cry harder, and Blue winced, releasing his hold on the girl. Seeing her face, he grimaced. "Stop it. Stop crying- I didn't come all this way and get dressed up just to see you cry," he snapped. Green smiled slightly, wiping away her tears. There was the attitude she'd grown to love.

Wait, love? Where the hell did that come from?

"There. Stop crying. Everything's okay- here. I need your help with something," Blue said, causing Green to look up. "I've never really danced before. Care to show me?"

Green nodded, forcing a smile on her face. It was flimsy, but it'll do. She gently slipped off her heels- they hurt like hell anyways- and slid close to him, chest to chest. She gently guided his hand to her waist, her own resting on his shoulder. Wordlessly their free hands found each other and they slowly stepped from side to side, Green taking the lead.

"See? It's not so hard," she teased, looking up at him. His left side of his mouth curled up into a smile and he suddenly let her go, reaching into his pocket and pulling out an ipod and earbuds. He ignored the bewildered look on her face and stuffed the bud into her ear, clicked play on the song, and resumed his position. Soft music spilled out from the headphones and a faint violin played in the background.

And tonight I wanna drive so far we'll only find static on the radio
And we can't see those city lights and I love the way you look in a firefly glow
Saying everything without making a sound,
A cricket choir in the background, underneath a harvest moon
Standing on your shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
Oh woah, and we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat

"You know, I never liked the guy," Blue said. Green glared up at him, not in the mood.

"He never really... I don't know, got his head in the game. He never remembered your favorite flowers, and insisted on buying you razzberries when you really liked blackberries. And he was pretty self-centered."

"Funny," Green snapped. "It sounds like we're talking about you here."

Blue sighed, rolling his eyes and looking down at her with a gentle expression. "You always knew how to pick 'em."

That's it. "What the hell do you mean?" She asked, voice raising.

"I just mean-"

"Mean what, huh? I don't mean to choose shitty guys, they all seem nice at first, okay? God, you can be such a prick at times, you know that? I regret even inviting you!"

Hurt flashed across his face, but she wasn't done. "If you'd only man up and be there for me, and I don't know, ask me fucking out for once, I wouldn't always be with shitty guys on shitty dates! But no! You just want to stay in your safe little bubble, playing video games and having one night stands instead of, I don't know, an actual relationship with someone who loves-"

She was cut off by the feel of his lips on hers.

I wanna feel it like a kick drum, beating faster in your chest
I wanna feel you holding onto me and make me hold my breath
You pull me closer, my head on your shoulder, baby we won't beat the song
We'll make a fallen star wish, one more slow kiss, what are we waiting on?

All of her anger and rage at Blue and Red and the world faded. She was a storm, suddenly calmed, and her eyes snapped open in surprise. Blue cupped her face in his hands as if holding a delicate flower and kissed her gently, communicating so much love in the simple pressure of his lips it made her heart hurt. All this time, Green realized, he'd loved her. He didn't really know how to show it, and it came out all wrong- annoyed, bitchy, asshole-ish, but that was Blue.

And even though she didn't know a lot of things about him- Like how he liked his coffee, or the first girl he got his heart broken by, or what keeps him awake at night- she knew his heart. She knew him. And even though she didn't completely understand her feelings for him, she knew that she never wanted this moment to end.

Standing on your shoes in my bare feet, dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat
And we're dancing to the rhythm of your heartbeat...
