A/N: I have no idea how I came up with this, it just popped into my head around 3 in the morning and I decided I liked it, so here it is! Hope you all enjoy reading this as much as I liked writing it! And remember to REVIEW!!!! :D
Disclaimer: I don't own NCIS, no matter how much I wish and how much better the show would be if any one of us had owned it and Jenny hadn't died.
It was amazing really, how two people could be so alike, but so different at times.
He was like Ice. Cold and hard. His blue eyes were guarded, frozen, protecting his heart and hiding his emotions from those around him. No one knew what went on beneath the surface, if they even cared to look. The look he got when he was angry was reflected in the stormy color of his eyes, showing the waves of chaos within.
She was like Fire. Her hair reflected it but you could see it most in her eyes. The fire burned in her eyes, excitement, determination, passion, anger. It matched her temper. It protected her, warned others away so they couldn't see her concealed feelings. It gave a whole new meaning to the term firewall. Her eyes were enchanting, as fire often is, beautiful to look at, but get to close and it can burn.
Polar opposites. But perhaps that's what made them fit so well.
Fire- it was wild and it burned. And somehow, when she was angry, it seemed to highlight her hair and eyes even more. When she got like that, you wanted to get far as far away as possible. But he didn't run. When she got mad, only he could calm her, dim the fire; not enough to put it out, because he secretly liked it when she got mad, but enough to keep it under control.
Ice- it was cold and hard, protected. It kept everyone from seeing beneath the surface, everyone except her. He was cold, he froze everyone out, but she was warm and welcoming to him. She could melt away his cold exterior and see the pain inside. And she could help him deal with it, she could accept it.
She had never tried to fix him, not like the others had. She hadn't pushed him to open up or make him get out of his basement and be around people. She had simply accepted the way he was because she was broken too. She had her own demons to chase away.
Ice-he was the only who understood her, even if he still got burned sometimes. He was the only one who could calm her down and take her on. He loved her temper instead of being afraid of it.
Fire- she was determined and was quick to make things a fight. But she was also warm and passionate. He knew he was a goner when she turned her fire on him. And she knew just how to make him melt.
They were temperamental, secretive, proud, and kept their emotions locked tightly away. But in the end, neither could deny how right they were together.
When Blue Ice meets Emerald Fire.
