Okey pokey, this is 'Bite Me, Bloodsucker', written for all of the members of Team Jacob! Sorry for the shortness, this chapter is mostly just to get into the swing of things. This is set three weeks after Jacob started running from La Push.
Jake, quit messing around and come home, Quil was pleading, this time. But his attempts would be fruitless, same as always.
I ignored him, as was my policy these days.
Jacob! That was Seth. I grimaced. Jacob! Are you there, Jake?
He's there, Quil answered for me. Good, saved me doing it. He's just being stubborn.
To hell I am, I thought, forgetting that they could hear everything. They're all being stubborn. I'm not going back to La Push!
Hey, Jake! Of course. Seth Clearwater was as cheerful as ever. Bella called.
Of course she did, I thought savagely, more to myself than them. Bella always calls. Real worried, I'll bet.
Hell, even my thoughts were getting sarcastic.
She is, Seth answered, you know she is, Jake. She's even put off the-
I growled at him, warning him not to say the word. I'd been doing so well with tuning them out, too. Damn.
But Seth ignored me.
-the wedding, Jake, until you come back.
Despite my anger, took an odd pleasure in this. Maybe if I never came back, she'd never marry the bloodsucker.
She will one day, Jake, Seth said, interrupting my musing. But she wants you to be there.
That's NOT going to happen.
Jake-
Quil interjected, rejoining the conversation.
What, Quil?
I was bored of this now, I wished they'd phase already and get out of my head.
We all miss you.
I snorted.
Bye, Jacob. Seth's voice disappeared- he'd phased.
Yeah, bye, Jake. Quil followed after him.
Funny, I mused. Sometimes, wishing did work.
