Hi guys, I came up with a new story and I hope this one will get many reviews more than my previous one, "Moon On Water". Sorry if my writing is not that good.
Enjoy!
Chapter 1: Unexpected Loss
Kazuha's pov…
My mom was sick, and I knew it the whole time. There was something wrong with her. I remember how energetic and alive she always seemed. She used to cook for my dad and me everyday. She loved knitting, and doing the housework. She was my best friend. Whenever, she saw me sad or in a bad mood, she used to comfort me. I loved her very much, the same with my dad, too.
One day, I came back from school and I did not find her! I called her many times, but she did not answer. I checked in the living room, her bedroom, even my bedroom, but nobody was there. Finally, when I decided to look in the kitchen, I found her on the floor, unconscious. I did not know what to do. I was horrified. I called my dad, but his phone was unavailable. He was busy as always. Then, I called my childhood friend, Heiji. Even if he could not come, he would tell me what to do. He is always there with me, although sometimes he is just a pain in the neck! We argue all the time, but when I am in a real trouble, I feel most comfortable talking to him.
An hour later, I, Heiji, and my dad were in the hospital, waiting for the doctor to come out and tell anything concerning mom's situation. When he finally was out, he wanted to speak to dad alone. I put my hand on my heart.
"Your mom is just a little tired, honey. Nothing serious!" The doctor told me, but deep down I knew that there was something wrong.
Mom began to experience unexplained tiredness at unpredictable times. She lost weight, and did not seem to have an appetite. I was really concerned about her. When she and dad went to the hospital every week, my dad used to tell me it is just to make sure she is ok and that it is better for women in mom's age to have regular check-up.
It was six months later that I knew the truth. My mom had cancer. No one could save her. My mom died, and her loss was unbearable!
I know that this is a really short chapter, but it was just a prologue. Please, read and review!
