Lavi certainly did not have it coming.
When he came home to his wife on their first anniversary after a two month business trip, he expected a romantic evening with wine and flowers in front of a fire that would keep them warm while it snowed outside. What he did not expect was a dripping red mess of a suit.
"Allena, I'm home!" the red head called from the door as he walked in, wine and flowers in hand. Not hearing an answer from his beloved, he wandered into the kitchen where he saw her, head in hands.
"Hey honey, what's wrong?" concern all over his face.
When she didn't reply, he put the flowers on the table and opened the bottle of wine, and got out two glasses.
"Cheer up," Lavi said, pouring some wine for them both.
He pushed one towards her, and she took it. Looking at it curiously, she splashed it over his head.
"Hey!" he said, jumping up in the cold shock. "What was that for?"
When he saw her face break out in a grin, he was as confused as ever.
"You don't go around giving pregnant women wine you idiot." Allena smirked, waiting for it to sink in.

"OHMYGODAREYOUPREGNANT!?"
"Oh the ever clueless Lavi" Allena sighed, shaking her head.
She got off the bar stool behind the counter, and sure enough, a bump was present.
Staring in shock, Lavi could barely get out his words.
"W-why didn't you tell-" he stopped staring at the bump and into her eyes questioningly.
"I wanted it to be a coming home present for you." Allena smiled and came closer.
Lavi lifted up the black tank that she had on and pressed his hand to her warm stomach. He brought both his hands up to her face, looking into her eyes. She looked for any signs of emotion, and then he kissed her.
Sweet, soft, and passionate. She snaked her arms around him and buried her hands in his hair. They were pulled together, when Allena suddenly jumped, pushing her shirt down.
"The wine on your shirt is cold." She grinned.
