AU Castiel has risen to the rank of God, and along with the people of Earth selected to serve as Crusaders he is benevolent. With the Winchester family, however, defiance is inevitable. Samuel works for Lucifer behind everyone's backs, Jonas (John) is too power-hungry, Marianne (Mary) is slowly fading from existence, and Daynon is failing to meet his quota as he protects earth.

Prologue:

"And the Lord God needed His Angels to protect the Heavens at all costs. But soon, He realized that His children on Earth were to be thrown to the Wolves of Hell, and He could not stand to watch His people die. In one sweeping motion, He summoned five families of good faith in their Lord and gave them limited powers to protect His people. "You shall be called the Crusaders, and your children, and your children's children will all retain the abilities to serve Me, as the Angels of old protect heaven." And so he gave them blades to protect against the rising forces of Hell, and they were called Crusader's Claymores. He garbed them in tunics of the finest leather with the crucifix upon its chest. And his final gift was that of the ability to see and hear demons and angels as they truly were. So he said, and so it was. They received Communion, and returned to fend off Lucifer and his disciples."
