As she lay on the side of her lover's gravestone, warm tears run down her pale cheek, carrying along with them the freezing cold snowflakes.
The others had advised her to go inside, to keep herself warm. Being as stubborn as she is, she refused to go anywhere. After a while, they left her, thinking the better.
She could still remember how their last moments were but she didn't wan to talk about it now.
'It's cold. So cold…'the young maiden thought as she started feeling the aftermath of not bringing a jacket with her. 'I think I'm going to take a little nap now…' She thought as she collapsed onto the snow, in front of the grave, with her arms acting as pillows for her head.

As she lay there unmoving, sweet memories started drifting into her mind.

"Hey! You alright?" He asked.
"Y-Yeah. I'm fine." She stammered her answer as a slight blush crept up her cheeks.
"Well, alright. Just don't overdo yourself, okay?" He sad with a slight grin.
"A-alright." She stammered.
Her eyes opened a bit as she regained a bit of her consciousness. By lifting her head slowly, her eyes met with the picture of her beloved. She stared with a longing look at the picture, her eyes scanning for something.

"Hey." He said as he entered the verandah.
"Yeah, hi." She answered coolly, not turning around to meet his gaze.
He gave a frustrated look, but stayed silent.
"Look, I-"
He was cut short by her turning around and shouts.
"You what? You didn't mean to cheat on me?! You didn't want her to cling on you like that?!"
"I'm sorry!" He shouted as a reply to hers.
"What?" She said in slight disbelief.
"I said 'I'm sorry'. Look, I never meant to do anything like that. It's just that everything went on so fast. One minute I was jogging in the park, next thing I knew I-"
"You're forgiven."
"What?"
"I said 'you're forgiven'. I can tell you didn't really mean what you did."
"Thanks." He said as he hugged her tight, never letting go. "I swear, nothing's gonna come between us. We'll never be apart."

Next thing she saw were lights. A bright white light. She looked around. She was amidst clouds. As she looked to her sides, she saw wings. An Angel's wings. Tears then slid their way down her cheeks as snow fell.

"C'mon! The others' be looking for us soon!" He called on the boat. The sky was as dark as the carbon and the moon shone as bright as any of the stars.
"I'm coming!" She answered as she ran towards the boat.

As the winter snow fell, she cried tears of sorrow. Her feet felt too weak to stand until they finally gave way. As she sat on the cloud, she sobbed herself to sleep.

"I thought it was you." She heard a voice sad softly.
She looked up. There he was. Standing strong as ever.
She wanted to scream. She wanted to scold him for leaving her like that. But all she could do was jump and bring him into a tight embrace. As he held her in his strong, comforting arms, she wept. This time, she had not the teardrops of sadness, but the tears of happiness of seeing the one she loved again.
