Dear Oliver,

I hope this letter receives you in good health.

I was wondering how you've been? I haven't seen you since we won against Voldemort. Can you believe it? I actually wrote out Voldemort's name. Look! I did it again. Harry would be so proud of me if he could read this letter. He was always on us about being scared of a name, said it gave the holder of the name more power. I wonder who he learned that from. Back then, I couldn't even write the name, never mind say it. I remember Harry's exasperated face when we continued say You-Know-Who. I'm giggling now just from the memory. He was always so cute.

So anyways, Oliver, I know you're still with Puddlemere United. Are you happy there? I know your team isn't doing great where winning is concerned, and I know how much you love winning. I remember you were willing to risk Harry in your sixth year just for a Gryffindor win. I swear to Merlin, Angie, Alicia, and I were all ready to kill you for that.

I always appreciated your drive, though. Although you could be kind of crazy, it was one of the things I liked most about you.

If you are unhappy with your losing team, I think you should beginning seeking out a new one. Don't tell Puddlemere United of course, no use burning your bridges until you find something. I don't think you should stay anywhere that you are unhappy, though. You deserve the best.

So, although I don't need a Muggle stamp since this is owl mail, I'm including it in the envelope. One of my Muggle-born co-workers showed it to me. Look at the picture on it. A phoenix feather It's definitely something you'll like – don't think I didn't know about you second obsession of phoenixes – and I think you'll appreciate that I'm giving it to you.

I miss you. I probably could never say this to your face. Although I'm a Gryffindor, there are just some things I don't have the courage for, and this is one of them.

I always carried a torch for you during Hogwarts. In fact, I really, really liked you. Even after you graduated, I found myself thinking about you. I still think about you and it has been years since I graduated.

I don't know if you could ever see me as something more than a friend. I don't even know if you're currently dating anyone, but I decided to take a chance, even if I'm doing it the coward's way through a letter.

If you're interested in me, please let me know. I would love to see if there's anything real between us. I really care about you.

And if you're not interested, don't say anything. You're silence will be answer enough; I don't need the rejection explicitly stated.

In case I don't hear from you, I hope you are well. I really believe you deserve the best, and if you're not interested in me, no hard feelings. I promise.

Love,

Katie
