Title: Love is where they are

Disclaimer: I do not own Invader Zim or any of it's characters.

A/N my first IZ oneshot so be nice.

Gaz and Gir sat on the couch watching Angry Monkey as Dib and Zim exclaimed over some Irken gadget nearby. Zim had given up his conquest of the Earth soon after Tak exposed his mission as a fake. From there Dib and Zim's friendship had come to be after both males realized they actually had a lot in common.

"I can see what's happening," Gir sang obnoxiously, sitting on his head.

"What?" Gaz asked irritated.

"And they don't have a clue," Gir continued completely in his little world.

"Who?" Gaz asked her intrest peeked.

She waved an arm in front of the defective robot trying to get his attention. Gir looked at Gaz and pointed to where Dib and Zim stood side by side.

"They'll fall in love and here's the bottom line. Our quad is down to two." Gaz looked and noticed that both boys were standing closer than necessary, and were brushing arms more than needed.

"Oh," Gaz stated. Zim and Dib picked up the gadget and walked into the kitchen, Gir's singing obviously annoying them. Gaz shook her head. So oblivious.

"Ze sweet caress of moonlight," Gir sang jumping up from the couch to peek into the kitchen. Gaz stood up and did the same.

"There's magic everywhere," Gaz sang softly, as the Irken device seemed to emit a soft glow in the kitchen. "And with all this romantic atmosphere."

"Disaster's in the air!" Shouted the parent bots, bursting from their closet. Gaz sprung into action and wrestled them back into their closet.

"Can you feel the love tonight, the peace the evening brings," Computer sang in a low voice.

"The world for once, in perfect harmony, with all it's living things," Gir and Gaz added.

Zim looked over at Dib, who was happily taking apart the glowing gun. His cheeks darked a few shades as he turned towards the window. Dib spared him a quick pat on the shoulder before going back to dismantling the gun.

"So many things to tell him, hmm, but how to make him see," Zim turned to look at Dib surreptitiously. "The truth about my past? IMPOSSIBLE! He'd turn away from Zim."

Dib though concentrating on the gun looked up and sighed as the moonlight bathed Zim in a soft glow. The aliens antennae were drooping, something he'd become accustomed to.

"He's holding back he's hiding, but what? I can't decide. Why won't he be the man I know he is, the man I see inside?" Dib sang softly staring at Zim. Zim turned sensing the other looking at him. Their eyes locked.

"Can you feel the love tonight?" Gir sang loudly, causing Dib and Zim to look over.

"You needn't look too far...stealing through the night's uncertainties, love is where they are." Gaz chimed turning away motioning for Gir to follow.

"And if they fall in love tonight," Gaz continued, resuming her place on the couch.

"It can be assumed," Gir intoned tearfully.

"Their carefree days with us are history," Gaz sang noticing Zim and Dib share a chaste kiss, both of them blushing darkly.

"In short our pals are dooomed," Gir yelled running around. Gaz stuck out her foot and tripped him.

"No, not doomed Gir. In love." Gaz explained.

"Oooh." Gir said. "Those boys! They love each other so much!"

"That, is true." Gaz admitted gazing at Zim and her brother. They happily sat next to each other on the counter, hands interlaced. "So very true."
