RemembranceIn her mind's eye she looked upon the green witch, the one on the broom, flying high, and remembered.
She remembered their bitter rivalry, the insults they spat at each other, laden with disgust and loathing.
She remembered that fateful night at the ballroom, the dastardly trick that she played on her, and making up for it, by willing to embarrass herself for forgiveness.
She remembered the friendship they shared, the secrets, giggles, and talks passed between them.
She remembered the fight they had gotten into, and her separation, long ago.
She remembered the loathing she felt, as she saw her again, and the relief that she was unharmed.
She remembered watching her die, and crying in despair later that night.
And she remembered how her best friend had helped her, teaching her so much, and yet so little.
And as she remembered, she promptly uttered four words, before passing away, never to live again.
"My Elphie, My friend…"
