Generations

I fell in love with an angry man

Who couldn't control the darkness

Our secret relationship caused our doom

When he succumbed to the evil within his soul

I fell in love with a scoundrel

A smart mouthed "herder of nerfs"

Though both of us were so self-assured

Our loved blossomed and grew

I fell in love with a pilot

son of an enemy spy

He helped pull me from darkness

Love stopped me from living a lie

Through thick and thin

we stayed together

He left me for darkness

The kisses we have shared

cement our love forever

We met so young

Then apart so long

His heart rested not just with me

but with another- his mother

Duty meant so much to him

yet ultimately I meant more

He left his life for me

I made him leave his

We still have gone through trials

tribulations

troubles all around

I lost him to hatred

He took the hatred away

He live with me

a 'royal pain'

We stole away during conflict

to be married secretly

I couldn't help it

I loved him so much

We hated each other

but hate turned to love

Too much like his father

many say with scorn

Obviously he didn't care

As his attitude was like my own

When he gave into hate

it broke my heart in two

Happiness was finally mine

after years of being cold

But the times we spent together were worth it

Our children helped

heal my soul

I only wish my mother could see me

She would be proud I know

I hope my daughter doesn't

make my mistake

At least mom likes him. Sorta.

My granddaughter after that

I hope they both really love

the men in their lives

that they embrace peace in their souls

I hope

the generations

live on.

Authors note: I was going through an old folder and found the coffee-stained paper with this one it. I was like "Hmm…might as well" and typed it up and posted it. In case you haven't figured it out, Padme is on the left, Leia in the middle, and Jaina on the right. AN edit: GAAAAAAAAH! ff.net doesn't like to have things aligned differently! *twitch* So now it's Padme in bold, Leia in italics and Jaina all normal-like. *sigh*
