Blaine woke with a start when he heard someone pound on the door. "Blaine Anderson! Wesley Hughes! Open the door!" Blaine groan but got out of the bed as Wes turned on the light. "What's going on?" Wes asked. Blaine shrugged and answered the door. James Mitchels (their RA) was standing there frowning. "James?" Blaine rubbed his eyes. "What's wrong?"
"Why are you waking us up at three in the morning?" Wes grumbled. "Blaine. Wes. Have either of you seen Kurt Hummel?"
"No." Blaine glanced at Wes who shook his head. "Not since class. Why?" James sighed. "Kurt's missing. His RA went to check on him but the door was opened and he wasn't anywhere in his room. The RA checked everyone on his floor but Kurt was nowhere to be found."
Blaine was pale. His heart clenched. Kurt was missing and no one knew where he was. "Have you checked the other Warblers?" Wes asked worried. "Yeah. They all suggested Blaine. They all said they haven't spoken to Kurt in a month." Blaine closed his eyes. He knew Kurt was lonely. He saw Kurt grab an apple or a banana and leave the cafeteria. Saw Kurt work by himself. Knew he practiced the songs alone outside off rehearsals. But Blaine was stubborn. His pride meant more to him than Kurt's problems since Kurt apologized for what he had said.
"Blaine?" Blaine felt Wes place a hand on his shoulder. Opening his eyes, Blaine spoke. "I'll help look for Kurt." When James nodded Blaine snatched up his jacket and hurried out. He walked briskly towards the doors to the school. If they haven't found Kurt inside he was going to look outside. Walking around the school, Blaine tried to think of where Kurt could have gone outside. However, Blaine kept getting sidetracked with memories of the past month. He could kick himself. Kurt had no one. All the Warblers ignored him. Siding with Blaine without thought. And by default the rest of the school ignored Kurt. All because of Blaine's pride.
Well no more! Blaine was going to make it up to Kurt for the rest of his life. Suddenly, Blaine thought of where Kurt and him buried Pavarotti. Quickly, Blaine walked towards the place. Sure enough, Blaine saw Kurt's body on the ground.
"Kurt!" Blaine rushed over and lifted Kurt up into his arms. "Kurt! Wake up! Please!" Blaine brushed a stray hair off Kurt's face. "Kurt! Wake Up!" Kurt stirred. "Mmm. Blaine? What's going on?"
"Kurt. You're outside. Everyone's been looking for you." Kurt blinked and let Blaine pull him to his feet. "Come on," Blaine whispered. "Let's get you inside." Blaine explained to Kurt what had happened since James woke Wes and him up. "I'm sorry. I hadn't meant to!"
"I know. I know."
Once inside Blaine told the first RA he found that Kurt was found and Blaine was taking him back to bed. "I can't believe I caused so much worry," Kurt moaned. "Hey it's ok Kurt. No harm done." Blaine placed Kurt on his bed and sat beside him. "Just don't do it again. You really had me worried." Kurt looked surprised. "Really? You were worried?"
"Of course I was worried! I care about you Kurt. I know I've been a lousy friend lately and I'm sorry. I was angry because you were right about me being gay and not Bi. I was trying to hide again. And I took it out on you. I'm so sorry Kurt. I can't apologize for the others but I can apologize for not telling them to knock it off."
Kurt blinked and smiled. "I forgive you Blaine." Blaine grabbed Kurt's hand. "I'll make it up to you. For the rest of my life if I need to." Kurt shook his head. "You don't," he whispered. "You've done enough tonight." Blaine looked at Kurt. "Kurt?"
"Mmm?" Blaine licked his lips. " I love you. " Kurt's jaw dropped. "I'm sorry I took so long to realize but I do. I love you Kurt." Kurt closed his mouth and smiled slowly. "I love you too Blaine." Blaine took a breath, leaned in and kissed Kurt directly on the lips.
