6 years.

It's been 6 years since Lucina last saw Robin. After defeating Grima and sacrificing himself for the Shepherds, Lucina was left alone. As he faded away she screamed the words she'd always wanted him to hear, "I'm in love with you." But he hadn't heard them, had he?

Chrom always tells her that if their bond was strong enough then he'll come back and return to them. Six years later he still held true to his statement, Lucina, however, had grown skeptical.

She loved Robin, her best friend, he always made her laugh and comforted her in the darkest times. She wondered if he felt the same way she did for him, hoping the answer was yes, would she ever get an answer? She was losing hope.

That night, exhausted from stress and the constant replay of the day of the defeat of Grima, she went to bed early. She bid her father and friends goodnight and set off upstairs to her room to greet her cold bed. Staring at the ceiling she only had one person on her mind.

"Robin, wherever you are. Please come home." She quietly sobbed.

Tossing and turning through most of the night, Lucina awoke and stared out her window. It was about 2am now and the village was enveloped with the twinkling of the stars scattered throughout the deep blue sky. Suddenly she heard the door open, "Is that you, Lissa?" No answer.

She stood still in fear. "Who's there?" She managed to whimper. Her door crept open even slower, a horse voice greeted her, "Lu-…Lucina?"

Lucina stood dead in her tracks, was it really him? This must be a dream; but an uncontrollable force pushed her forward towards the frame in the doorway.

Robin.

Here he was, the same messy white haired tactician she had grown to love so many years ago, had returned to her. She took a minute to take him all in. He was a bit taller, but not by much, his hair had grown slightly longer but that only made him seemingly more attractive, if that were possible. His dark brown eyes shimmering in the twilight as the couple stood in each other's presence.

"You look beautiful Lucie." He whispered in his deep voice as he gently took a piece of her hair and tucked it behind her ear. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too!" She cried as she threw her arms around him. He was warm and gentle, god how she missed his hugs. They stood like that for a while before pulling away. She looked into his eyes, a flicker now there she hadn't seen before. She caught herself slowly lowering her gaze to his lips. Unconsciously the two started leaning in and Robin gently placed his lips on hers.

Lucina had waited so long for this, so long to feel his sweet and gentle kiss. And boy was he, good. She threw her arms around his neck, playing with a piece of hair as he cradled her close that his warmth enveloped her whole body. When Robin pulled away, much to Lucina's displeasure, he said the words she so longed to hear. "I love you."

"I love you, too." She whispered as she stroked his cheek with her cold hands.
