Mungojerrie sat atop the jellicle junk heap overlooking the icy pathways and shimmering rooftops. It was a freezing cold night, nearly enough to push Mungojerrie to return to his "Centre of operation" in Victoria grove. It was calm nights like these that made Mungojerrie want to sit and think back on his adventures in crime. His sister Rumpleteazer was looking for food, she had volunteered to do so for the rest of the week. The humans that occupied the houses on the streets of London always acted unusually when it got to the cold season. The siblings had never understood it, when humans got cold, they would take trees from outside, drag it into their house and cover it with shining, glimmering objects. Had that not been enough strange behaviour, they would then go out often, buy goods and colourful paper, wrap up the goods and tell tales to their young of "Santa Claus". It all looked good fun Mungojerrie thought, and at this time of year not many Jellicles spent much time at the Junk Yard. Most of them had homes, Pouncival was exitable at the best of times, but at this time of year he made Sonic the hedgehog look like the snail mungo ate previously. You just couldn't calm him down.

When Rumpleteazer returned, Mungojerrie snapped back to reality

"Oh! Rumples! You're back! Any goods?"

"Almost 'ad 'em! There was this great big 'uge bird, didn't 'ave no feathers though! It was in this 'uman's car boot!"

"And? Where is it?"

"In their 'ouse!"

Mungojerrie simply sighed and turned back to overlook the Junk yard. He didn't quite know why, but he wished he could celebrate the cold like the humans did. "They call it Christmas!" Rumpleteazer said, knowing Mungo all too well and knowing exactly what he was looking at. "I've noticed that they do this Christmas fing ev'ry year! They gift their young with playthings and a big meal, but they say the playthings were from a santa claus, 'e sounds scary!" Mungojerrie sat thinking about this, he loved it! It sounded fun! He jumped off the junk heap and didn't feel himself hit the floor at first, a few milliseconds later they were throbbing. " 'Ow on earth can they CELEBRATE THIS!? It's FREEZIN'!" Mungo liked to complain every now and again! It was his way of relieving stress Rumpleteazer had decided.

Mungojerrie walked around the junk yard a few times, Rumpleteazer had been watching him with sheer fascination. On his 43rd lap, she decided it was enough "What exactly are you doin'? 'Ave ya one wrong or what?"

Mungojerrie was clutching an old red sack and a santa hat.

"We're gonna bring Jellichristmas to all the kittens o London!"
