Chapter 1 - Stuck, smitten, whatever
Getting around with a certain blonde detective with blue eyes wasn't an easy task for Special Agent Kensi Blye, especially in the mornings when his stubble would tickle her chest, in his sleeping position, yeah, believe it or not there was his favorite sleeping position. When she asked him about that, he said something sappy for hardcore Badass Blye, he said he wanted to listen to her heart beats at night when he went to sleep, and in the morning when he woke up. Like the waves, her heart had the calming effect on him. She secretly smiled in herself to her overly addicted boyfriend. He was addicted to her, and she kinda liked it, when she saw that look in his eyes that he saved just for her, the smile, that one bright smile he showed only for her…
He never promised her anything that he couldn't fulfill, but that's why he surprised her every now and then. She wasn't that type of a girl that liked surprises. But she liked his way of treating her like a princess, and like the deep down, inner lady she was, she needed attention, just like every other ordinary woman.
He also surprised her when he bought her a flower for Christmas. She was the infamous serial killer of plants and flowers. She hated them for a reason. Come on, she couldn't even take care of herself like a normal person, let alone a flower. But, ever since they moved in together and in a bigger place, she decided she'll give it a try. And she had to admit, she finally succeeded not to kill a plant for three months or so.
Must've been magic flower.
Or maybe it was the love that could be felt in the air a mile away?
Kensi even took Roberta on that offer to learn how to cook. It took her few dinner times at their new house, and some delicious home cooking from her future mother-in-law to take cooking into account.
Kensi, cooking, plants… Somehow these words didn't have any connection in the past. But, people change…
About the mother-in-law thingy – well they had their discussion about marriage and kids before. Few weeks ago, the topic was brought up again, when Deeks found that magazine in her go bag. He said something about marriage, something that sounded close to a proposal. She didn't remember well what she'd responded, but she was sure that she said something about accepting his offer if it was with a ring…
Okay, now, that was officially awkward.
She found herself thinking more times than not about her shaggy lover proposing to her, propped on one knee, pouring his love to her in one single sentence "Will you marry me?" Then she would say yes, there would be congrats, hugs, kisses, and next, wedding plans.
Kensi sighed happily as she thought of how perfect would be to have a family of her own with the surfer detective, when she was pulled abruptly out of her thoughts by a whistle.
Eric, I'm gonna kill you…
"What's up Kensi, still stuck on Wyler?" Sam piped thinking about what day it was. Wednesday, 6th of April 2016, 6 years since Deeks worked with them.
"Stuck, smitten, whatever." Callen said.
"You guys are unbelievable." Kensi said, as she climbed the stairs.
When the sliding doors of the OPS center opened she saw him standing there, in all his might and glory.
The one and only Detective Marty Deeks.
The yin to her yang, the good to her bad, the fire to her wind…
And, the love of her life.
Wifey? Light of life? Sugarbear? Rang in her head.
Definitely, she wouldn't be anywhere else at this moment.
