Gamzee first met Tavros on the bus. He had gotten on and was looking for a seat, he saw a free one next to a small boy, who looked like he wanted to be anywhere but the crowded bus. Gamzee guessed he was the awkward type of person that didn't really talk to anyone and hated being in pressured situations, so, for some unknown reason, he sat down next to him. They didn't talk at all but Gamzee, being the boy he was, spoke to him. The sudden words almost made the boy jump out of his seat
"Sup Motherfucker."
"uhh,, are you,,um,,talking to me?"
"Sure are."
"well,,um..,,nothing much...i guess."
"That's cool bro"
"Uhh, this is,,,um my stop now.."
"Alright then motherfucker. See ya."
"Uhh,,yeah..bye."
After that Gamzee caught the bus more regularly, he talked to the boy, Tavros, he found out that Tav had been in an accident and now had prosthetic legs. Gamzee told him about his obsession with clowns. The more they talked the more Gamzee found himself liking Tavros. Time passed and the boys became best friends, it wouldn't just be the bus, they would catch up and go to the movies or something and each enjoyed the time they spent together to the fullest.
"Uh...Gamzee?"
"Yes Tavbro?"
"I am,,um,,going on a trip soon and I won't be here for a couple of weeks.."
"Thats cool motherfucker. I will just see you when you get back."
"Yeah,,cool,,Gamzee."
Tav left on his trip a couple of days later, Gamzee still sat on the same place on the bus everyday. Leaving the chair where Tav would usually sit, he was intimidating enough that no one would take it. Two weeks passed and Tavros was due to be home soon, Gamzee was waiting for Tav to call. He was watching the news and a special announcement came up, he hadn't been really paying attention to the tv until the reporter started talking
"A young paraplegic boy was killed today at the London airport. The boy was crossing the road to get to his taxi home when a car raced past and hit him, Ambulances were called immediately and did their best to revive the boy but he died shortly after the ambulances arrived. He was identified as Tavros Nitram, the driver of the vehicle is now facing a life sentence in jail." Gamzee didn't listen to the rest of what the reporter was saying, he was in shock. Tav was gone, he had no words to describe what he was feeling.
The next few months were painful. He still caught the bus, it was his daily routine. But sitting next to the empty chair left a hole in him, it tore him apart. Anytime someone tried to sit there he would yell, scream and threaten them until they ran away, it wasn't the best thing he could have done but it was Tav's chair, and no one else had the right to sit in it, he was asked to get off the bus so many times, no one sat there eventually and that was how he wanted to keep it. Tavros' death had left Gamzee empty, just like the chair next to him but he realised eventually that there was no way of getting Tav back. So, one day he did something he had never done before...He put his bag on the chair.
