Falling onto the covers of his bed, Pit heaved a heavy sigh. Everything seemed to be against him today. Out of the six matches he'd had today, he barely managed to win one. After the tortures of the day's brawls were over, people continued to add to his misery by jeering and teasing him as they left. And to top it all off, Master Hand had shouted at him for nearly and hour or more, reminding him of his failure and warning him that if he had another day like this anytime soon, he would be eliminated as a brawler here.

Today was just not his day...

The angel seized the pillow sitting at the head of the bed and buried his face in the fabric, screaming into it until his shouts drained to muffled sobs. His body shook feebly as tears finally began to run out.

A weight settled on the mattress, pulling the brunette into the crater it made and making the boy press against it. A hand wove its way through his chocolate locks and the angel couldn't help the light hum of contentment that escaped as he was pet.

"You okay, Pit? You didn't show up for dinner..." Link's familiar voice murmured as he pulled the younger's head onto his lap. Pit immediately snuggled into the forest green tunic, savoring the small pleasure of the fingers stroking his head just a bit longer.

"Everything I've done today, I've failed at," the brunette mumbled sadly into the Hylian's stomach. "I feel like nobody wants me; that I'm nothing..." he managed to choke out quietly, tears gliding down his cheeks once more.

Link cupped the other's face in his hands and tilted his head so that sapphire eyes locked with sky blue. "Pit, you're just having a couple of rough brawls. People here ucan/u be inconsiderate dumb-asses sometimes, but ubyou are not nothing/b/u," the swordsman growled out in contempt. Pressing his forehead to Pit's, Link smiled gently.

"And besides, what does it matter what other people think? You are my everything, and that's all that matters."

The angel's face tinged pink as he smiled and kissed the other lightly on the lips, wrapping his arms around the Hylian and burrowing his face into the crook of Link's neck.

"Thanks, Link...I really needed that," he murmured into Link's ear. "I love you..."

"I love you, too, Pit..."
