Disclaimer: SUE ME NOT. ME IN COLLEGE. HAVE NO MONEY. The poem "Mourning Dawns" is property of Katie ALIAS sat on the plane...the plane taking her back to Los Angeles. Her father sat quietly across from her. She could feel his concern like a blanket. A sleepy, beaten up Will sat next to him. They had given him some painkillers to help him deal with the pain. The seat next to her was unoccupied...but it should have held Vaughn.
Who was dead.
Sydney had spoken little to anyone, sitting with her arms hugging herself. She stared out the window, trying to lose herself in something...anything... the clouds, the now rising sun.
Vaughn had risked his career and his life to help her and now... God, she couldn't even bear the thought. Now he was dead.
Another sigh, drawing yet another concerned glance from her father. She ignored him. How could she tell him this? That she'd been in love with Vaughn. That the man she loved... a man she loved was once again dead.
How many more people would she lose to this? How much was it all worth? First had been Danny, then Noah, then her respect and love for her mother... Will no longer trusted her like he had before and now Vaughn... She rose from her seat and made her way to the back of the plane, only then allowing the tears to fall, as morning dawned on yet another day.
