Alone, I sat on the window seat in my room. The war's destruction on the world still showed around me. The air was warmer since the dementors had been banished from our lands, but their heavy fog still lay close to the ground. Builds and roads destroyed from battles that should have never happened.

The world around me had fallen apart after the war. Families destroyed. Friends lost. The world had become utter chaos. It was a sad thing to see in a world you had known so well.

I had lost several friends and family members. I lost two of my brothers, Ron and George. Both were killed in the war. That took a horrible hit on my family. I could often hear my mother crying at night from her room. Fred had lost a lot of spark that use to exist in him. He was kind of a walking zombie now. He did keep the joke shop going, but he barely ever released a new product. His inspiration had died when his twin had died.

My friends though...Most of them were lost to the war. Harry and Hermione had gotten married after the war and were off somewhere tracking down dark wizards for the ministry. Both, Harry and Hermione, planned to retire after they knew all the Death Eaters were dead or captured. They deserved a quiet life though.

My other friends had all died. The war had taken it's toll on all of them each one's death hurting me in it's own way. The death that tore me apart though was Luna's.

People would laugh at that, but Luna was my best friend. When Hermione wasn't there, Luna was. She was always there. People thought she was strange, but in truth she was very smart. She just put more time in thinking about stuff most normal people wouldn't. She was a great person though. She was sweet and full of energy. Most guys just thought she was too weird to date, but even the boy-who-lived could tell you that Luna LeClaire Lovegood was a good catch.

Yes, she was out there in her thoughts, but when it came down to who she was, she was a great friend. She was there when someone needed her. People that would drive her crazy she would still listen to. Cho always got on her nerves, but she sat there every time and listen to Cho rant about the newest problem in her life. It was apart of who she was. She was just a great girl

She would sit with me for hours and talk about anything. She was a smart girl. She was a great friend. I miss her dearly. She always promised me we would be friends forever. I guess I just have to follow through on my end because she's already living forever.

I looked up at the sky and marveled at it's beauty. The moon shone bright against the dark, black sky. The star shining around it. A falling star fell in front of my eyes, and a tear began to silently fall from my eye. I closed my eyes and thought, "I miss you, Luna. Friends Forever, I promise..."

A/N: This was just a short story I threw together to give something for my readers to digest while I be slow at getting around to posting another chapter to my story. No Luna's middle name is not LeClaire. She actually doesn't have a middle name. At least I couldn't find it online, but I like the combination so please just ignore it if you don't like it. I hope you enjoyed this little story. Thanks for reading. Leave a review please.

Love,

Am. Ginny
