It was a crisp and bright morning as Namine woke up for the first day of school. "I can't wait to see my friends,"said Namine. "Oh yeah, I don't have any friends...Well, maybe I can make some new ones. Maybe," said Namine. After she brushed her hair and teeth and put on her white sundress she went downstairs. She ate breakfast, grabbed her lunch and backpack, and headed out the door.
When she got to school, she noticed that a boy was staring at her, a mysterious boy. When she got in the building, she headed to her first class: science. It was really weird, because in all of her classes there were two people sitting next to her. One of them was the mysterious boy, and the other was a freakishly weird girl with hair that looked like it was from the seventies. (guess who: Stupid Selphie!) Namine liked the boy but the girl was just creepy. After her second class, she heard someone calling her name. "Namine, Namine!" She looked back and saw the mysterious boy. "Wait up, Namine!" he yelled. She waited for him until he was right next to her. "Hi, I'm Roxas," he said with a gorgeous smile. "I'm Namine," she said, and returned his smile.
"Do you want to hang out sometime? You seem like a lot of fun," said Roxas. "I would love to," Namine said, knowing he would be a really good friend. "See you around," he said and then walked away. When the day was over, Namine went home and rested happily.
Over time, Roxas began to fall in love with Namine, and Namine fell in love with Roxas. They both just didn't want to tell the other. Finally Roxas gave in and said," So, Namine, would you like to go to the upcoming prom with me?" He smiled shyly. "Oh, Roxas! I would love to but somebody already asked me..." "Who?" asked Roxas. "Sora," said Namine sadly. "Oh, okay. I'm sorry I bothered you," Roxas said as he walked away, dying of embarassment.
The whole time, they never talked to each other. That is, until the prom. Namine looked beautiful with her hair curled and wearing a blue dress. Sora was wearing a white tux. Roxas, on the other hand, was wearing jeans with a black jacket and a white t-shirt under it. Namine thought that was hilarious. She giggled. As the slow dance came on, she saw Roxas sitting alone, about to cry and she knew she had to do the right thing. She told Sora she just couldn't do this, but she would absolutely love to be friends. He accepted the other with a smile and went off to dance with Kairi, who'd had a crush on him for a long time. Namine walked over to Roxas and gave him a kiss on the cheek, seeing him smile. "You'll always be my prince," said Namine. After they danced, they looked over their shoulders and saw Riku and Selphie dancing, limbs moving awkwardly. They secretly laughed. "Looks like that seventies girl got a happily ever after, after all."
From then on, they were all best friends, and Namine and Roxas were finally together.
