AN: Hi! I'm Ari! So this is based off of the Star Trek Reboot and takes place about a year into their 5 year mission. There will be a lot of OC's in this and I will try my best to keep the characters in character. This will be the only Chapter that isn'tin the POV of the main character who you will meet next chapter right now what I have planed is a love triangle between Bones and Kirk but that could change. A few changes are that Pike never dies and that Spock and Uhura are not together for now. Also this fic will give some back ground on Uhura.
(Kirk's POV)
"The bad news is that 'USS Enterprise' is going to be down for a while, my guess would be between 9 months to a year. While we don't have a ship for you to use until 'USS Enterprise' is fixed, we have been contact by another crew that is willing to take in you, First Officer Spock, Chief Engineer Scott, Doctor McCoy, Lieutenant Uhura, and Ensign Chekov aboard their ship until 'USS Enterprise' is fixed. You would be there to help advise the crew and maybe learn a thing or two from them." Admiral Pike said, as I clenched my fist pissed that my baby was going to be down for so long.
"What would happen to the rest of my crew?" I asked
"They would be distributed across several ships and then called upon when everything is ready to go. I should tell you that if you accept this offer you will immediately be beamed up onto the "USS Monument' after your crew gets here. It's better than being grounded for a year, son." Pike had a point anything is better than being grounded.
"I guess I accept the offer." I told Pike as I stood to shake his hand.
"Good. This will be an interesting experience for you." He said chuckling. That got me worried.
"Is there anything I should know, Admiral?" I asked worried that I was stuck on a ship with a loney captain.
"Nothing much it's just that the captain is… well theres no way to say this other than she is you in a women's body. Also the youngest captain we have." Great, I was stuck with an inexperienced newbie.
"How old is she?" I asked. How could someone break my record and I not know about it?
"23. She started the academy at 20 completed what would take a normal cadet 4 years in 2 years. She was on the 'USS Gazer' for a year when she saved the whole crew and a recently discovered planet thanks to her quick thinking. When the ship made it back to Earth she was immediately inducted as a Captain and was gifted the 'USS Monument'. It's in her basically in her blood, her two older brothers are the Captains of the 'USS Mozart' and the 'USS Beethoven' ,her mother served as Chief of Engineering for 36 years until she retired, her dad is still Captain of the 'USS Journey' and she has relatives that have served for Star fleet since the very beginning." He went on and on about this chick as if he was trying to set her up with me.
"So you're basically saying that I shouldn't mess with her." I said trying to lighten the mood.
"Yes, especially since she's my god daughter."
