First Aid
E/O Drabble challenge, word: fool.
Summary: For once it's not a Winchester who's up to safe the day...
A/N: Hey Dizzo, Queen of bees, this one's for you - have a gorgeous Birthday dear!
Oh, and sorry: couldn't make it a single word short of 300!
He was leaning against the mossy oak tree, the shadows of its leaves dancing over his closed eyes, the soft buzz of people enjoying the first warm day of the year like a lullaby. He smiled, groping for the cinnamon-scented apple pie next to him. Of course his geek-brother had chucked him out of the library after only 10 minutes of stagy yawning and whining.
"To each his own" he thought, taking a healthy bite...
"Ouch! Whatthe... gah!"
He was on his feet in a sec, huge eyes scanning for the reason of the sudden pain, widening in terror when they found the dying bee stuck on the pie in his hand.
"Where did it sting you?"
"What?"
A blurred figure appeared before his tear-filled eyes, soft fingers searching his face and removing the pumping sting.
"If you don't mind..."
Warm lips found the puckering fire in his upper lip, closing around and sucking at it.
"Mmmmmh...uch better", he thought, a bit weak in his knees.
The lips receded, followed by a spitting sound.
"That should help, but you better find some ice to cool the spot".
He looked down at a dark-haired woman with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Did you... did you just kiss me?"
Smart question, Winchester – way to go!
"What? God no, I just drew the poison out – learned it from my granny. Fool-proof."
"Did your granny teach you more useful stuff?"
"Yep. Not to speak to strangers, for one."
She laughed, blowing him a kiss and turning to go.
"Be careful. Next time I might not be around to safe you from beasts".
She was gone. He still felt her lips on his.
On the ground beside the pie lay a piece of paper, with a sketch of his face, shadows playing, eyes closed, smiling.
