Disclaimer: I do not own Merlin.
Destiny Incomplete
Not a day goes by when he doesn't think of you,
You were his destiny – he had to save you.
He feels lost and lonely evermore;
You were supposed to return, oh great King of Camelot!
The time you lived was cut short cruelly,
The promises you had to fulfill were broken by your passing.
Come back, dear Arthur!
Without you he's incomplete.
You were more than just a King,
You were his friend, his brother, the family he began to love.
He cried when he held you and watched you sleep forever –
The pain he felt was nothing compared to.
He is the greatest sorcerer – and none shall ever be like him.
In a way, you honed him.
Wake up, King of Camelot – rise from your death!
'For when Albion's need is greatest, Arthur will rise again,' it was said.
But Albion's gone, and so are its people.
None left alive but the tales of the United Kingdom.
Although there has always been one man, who started as a boy;
The great warlock, the other side of the coin.
Your kingdom isn't in peril, the future King isn't needed.
But dear Arthur, Merlin's at his weakest.
For his need is more than ever, he has lost everyone he ever loved.
None shall return, but his only hope is you –
So rise up, the one who united Albion!
Your destiny isn't complete.
He was your savior,
And in the end – you will be his.
AN: I recently finished Merlin series, and I'm in love with it! I do hope BBC and its writers will decide to bring Merlin back. This is something I wrote as a freeverse. I suck at poetry, but poetry without rules is something I enjoy writing.
I hope you liked reading it, please do let me know what you thought of it. : )
