Title: Haunting bites.
Author: JForward.
Summary: Just a random Doctor transformation. 10Wolf+Rose
I do not own Doctor Who. Woe is me.
Rose stood next to the Doctor, watching him, silent. his teeth were clenched as he prepared for he pain, knowing what was to come. his eyes were almost pure black now, meaning the moon was this night. Rose gripped his hand tightly and he gave her a faint smile, before drawing in a sharp breath. Rose gripped his hand even tighter as the sky began to turn velvety black.
He shuddered ad she looked at him again. "Come on, Doctor, keep calm" She whispered softly. She let go and stepped back and the moon appeared in the sky, clouds clearing. It shone down on the Doctor, bathing him in white light. He screamed, in agony. With two echoing cracks, his cheekbones realigned visably. She slid to his knees on the mud, beginning to grow in size, the bathrobe he had been wearing slipping to the ground as thick fur covered his body. He snarled, whether in anger or in pain, she couldn't tell. his claws were gouging the mud as his head thrashed, ears having changed shape and his muzzle now visable. He stood, stepping from the bathrobe, a lot huger than before.
He pointed his muzzle moonward and howled, long and differing in pitch. Slowly, she approached him, and he sunk to all fours. He was in control. She softly placed a hand on the thick ruff-fur.
Rose, climb on my back and hold on tight. Keep your knees up. I'm going to show you what it is to run
Warily, Rose seated herself on his back, leaning in to his thick mane, smelling cinnamon faintly through the musky wolf smell. And then, they were running. Rose's breath caught in her throat as they sped along the ground, feeling the strength of the wolf beneath her, powerful muscles flexing. For a moment, she considered becoming ga werewolf too with him. Being able to run like this with him and kiss him would be worth it.
It isn't, Rose! Don't think that! The pain is unbelievable. And I don't think you would be able to gain control.
"Stop poking about in my thoughts!" She admonished. He flattened his ears and continued to run.
Rose stirred and found herself curled up with the Doctor. She had clearly fallen asleep with him as a wolf and he had now turned back. Carefully, so as not to wake him, she freed herself. "Rose" his eyes opened. She looked at him, passing him the bathrobe she had been laying under. "I'm scared" his voice was almost like that of a child's , quiet and breathy and fearful. She had never heard him sound like this before. "Why?" she asked him gently. "Because" he began "When I first transform, just before I know I'm going to lose control… I like it"
A/N: It's a single thing, though if I get enough lufforly reviews I MAY continue. And yes, that was partway snagged from Hulk, which I do not own either. Oh, sigh.
