I do not own the characters or associations mentioned in this. It's a random drabble based of a few plot twists on my favorite Kingdom Hearts RPG, and Review. This is my first fanfiction.

His eyes are clouded. They were once such a vibrant green, full of life and emotion. But now they are dulled to a pale celadon, showing nothing, seeing nothing. He was once the talk of the Town, with that smirk and his sarcastic ways. But he isn't anymore.

The red-head has fought so many battles, only to lose. And now he's lost everything.

A young woman stands in the doorway. It was as if she had switched roles with him. She had once had nothing; it had been her who had eyes filled with nothing. And she'd given her everything for a dream. What happened to her dream? It came true and then it shattered.

.SHATTERED.

Like the man in the corner of the room, blind eyes closed. Like the one who had it all and lost it. His life was a cycle of perfection and nothingness. But this time it was over. The cycle would not begin again. He had but two places to go and neither option was desirable.

"You know everything, don't you Namine?"

He asked her this simple question in a sad voice. Sorrow, what a funny emotion. Here in a flash and then gone without a trace. But not for him. Sorrow was his constant companion. The red-head awaited his response and none came.

"You looked into my memories didn't you?"

He can feel the regret rolling off his younger lover; he could envision her biting her lip in nervousness. His ears were keen; they could hear her small sigh. Her reply finally came.

"I did."

Two words. And they changed everything. His fears were confirmed, his sorrows renewed. She'd be gone. He knew it. Just like everyone else. All were fair-weather friends to this man.

"You'll be going back to Roxas now?"

"Yes…"

The blond woman walked into the room, a few tears trickling down her face. Namine sat down next to the blinded man. This time it was her turn to ask a question.

"Where will you go?"

"Back to the Turks, if Reno will let me come back."

"If you need any thing I---"

"No, Namine. I wouldn't want to bother you. Or Roxas…"

The blue-eyed witch bit down on her lip until it bled. The little trickle of scarlet fell onto the floor. She got up and walked to the door without looking back. The memory mage shut the door gently, her whisper echoing in his mind.

"I'm sorry, Axel…"
