Dear Diary,

Today was just another day in The Facility. My roommates (Get ready, it's a LOT of dragons!), Violet, Moonpool, Phoenix, Frost, Weather, Spear, and Dawn, make it bearable, at least.

Although, it's still horrible here. The program started two years ago when I was only two. They let me keep the journal, but The Watchers said if they see it out of my room, they'll take it away. Oh, by the way, The Watchers are the dragons that protect the outside world from us.

We're not really that dangerous, by the way. I mean, some of us have weird powers, but it's not like we'll cause that end of the universe.

Oh! That's the dinner bell! I hafta go! If one of The Watchers sees that your late, you get punished.

And trust me, you DON'T want to be punished.

Bye, Diary!

Love,

Ocelot.

Dear Diary,

Earlier, I mentioned getting punished. Well, let's talk about that. When you do something 'wrong' here, you get a strike. If you make it through a moon without getting another strike, you get to start over.

But of you don't, you know have two strikes. If you get three, you're basically marked for death.

Your number, which is basically your name around here, gets put into a raffle. Every moon, two numbers are chosen, and then those dragons fight to the death. And if you do a good job as a Watcher, you get the 'pleasure' of watching it.

I really hate this place. I want to go back home.

Love,

Ocelot.

Dear Diary,

It's been awhile since I've written in this. Sorry about that, Diary.

I don't really want to talk about getting punished again, so let's talk about this place.

If you're below the age of six, you get a thirty minute school sesion once a week. That's how I learned how to write, along with some help from Frost, Dawn, and Violet.

Really early in the morning, when the sun is just about to rise, we have to go to The Main Room. The Main Room is a big room with, like everyone room in The Facility with the exception of The Courtyard, has no windows.

There, you have to swear loyalty to Electric Eel, the founder of IDE (The Imperfect Dragon Extermination). It's really silly. Why would we want to be loyal the dragon that put in this awful place?

You might be think, aren't you scared? The answer is yes, a lot of times I AM scared. Just not as much as I was two years ago. Then, I was scared of all of us just being lined up and killed. Now I know they won't do that. No, now I know they will just torture you in a place with no sunshine, fresh water and air, with a constant death threat over your head if you slip up, just because you look different.

I'm too upset to write anymore. Bye, Diary.

Love,

Ocelot.

Dear Diary,

Air, the clear, cooling, still thing around us.

Water, a pool of blue, fresh, soothing splash you feel in your mouth.

Wildlife, the jumping, running, hopping, trotting, walking, standing bundles you see around you everyday.

Freedom, the feeling that you can do anything.

Sometimes you don't realize how much you need these things until they're gone.
