A new world, new monsters, people, a new beginning. That's what this world was. The whatever that kind man told her. And now Will was back, and alive , touchable, breathable. Her Will, and Jem, Jem was well and better, thanks to the wishing well. Though the warlock was exhausted, her energy depleted from stopping the crocodile, it was worth it. Resting now on the couch in the living room of hers, Will's and Jem's cottage, eyes closed, listening to Jem and his violin, and Will's pacing, which would have driven her nuts if she didn't feel like doing that herself, worry eating at her, hoping that this, Jem being well, Will alive, would last. It was a new start, but still they remembered their lives before, the choice that lingered over them all. Her choice between two men who held her heart in their hands. She shivered at the thought, but her Gray eyes fluttered shut, she needed a rest. A break from thinking, to regain her energy. As she slowly drifted to sleep memories of home, of London flew through her mind, and she grimiced.
"Tess, I love you, I'm sorry I pushed you away." His gentle voice pleaded to me, his blue eyes full of innocence, and she knew right then he wasn't gaurded, that one word could shatter him, but she had to think of Jem, of her fiancee, she bit her lip before finally saying,"Will, Jem asked me to marry him... And I said yes." The look of hurt broke me from the inside, I watched as he left, I knew I shouldn't chase after him, shouldn't hurt him more, or even want him, but I did.
As I lay beside him I knew I was going to loose him, loose a half of my heart, not caring about how I looked, the glamour I held dropped, and I held Will's calloused and wrinkled hand, but that wasn't what I cared about. "Will." I murmured, my voice strained. I watched as those aged blue eyes I knew and loved looked at me, a soft smile carving itself into his face,"Tess, I love you, you know that, right?" I couldn't manage anything, knowing if I tried I'd of cried, but I nodded soon I watched light leave his eyes and a whimper left my lips.
Tessa's Gray eyes flew open to be met with those same blue eyes and a shiver ran down her body,"Will." She mumbled softly, reaching out to check if he were real. Not a ghost or another dream. "I'm here Tess."
As the werewolf looked into those dark brown eyes she knew that she was going to have a new beginning a new life, and chance. Her head fluttered in her chest as she kissed him as the waves splashed against them. Perhaps in this world she wouldn't hurt those she loved, that she'd have a life free from pain and hurt. A smile pulled at her lips at that thought as she tugged him closer. Her amber eyes arms around his neck.
The world couldn't let her have one thing, one glimmer of hope, one touch of happiness before it took it away, craddling his head in her lip, tears streaming down her face, his blood on her hands. The stupid monsters had taken away her only joy in this new life, this possible new beginning. It had to steal away everything. First Daniel, her brother, then her parents, then Jordan and now Booker. The Dark werewolf let out a frustrated cry.
That feeling ate at her, she should tell him, she couldn't go on like this, she couldn't forgive him. Her amber eyes dark with these thoughts but she blinked at the sight she saw before her, eyes widening, later, she'd tell him later. Before her the people of preator lupus lay scattered, dead. Jumping out of the car frantic, the next thing she knew was that Sebastian Morgenstern stood before her and she shook, anger welling up in her. Before she could act Jordan was on the ground, bleeding out and she shook her head, anger in her eyes. But she rushed to his side, and held him, held him as he died.
