Author's Note: So, I was counting out my own coins I had in my piggy bank and as I was doing that this little drabble popped into my head. In case you were curious I had nine dollars in change and only two dollars in full pennies. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! And I will seriously be working on Build Me Up over this week and hopefully I can get it up asap! Also I must thank Ashley as I told her about this idea and being the amazing soul sister that she is convinced me to write it. :3

"28, 29, 30, 31, 32," Carlos' voice echoed through the living room of apartment 2J. He was currently locked away in the bedroom he shared with James, but the taller boy had only just gotten back from an eventful day of shopping. His brow furrowed as he moved to the room they shared.

"53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59," Carlos' voice continued to count. James' curiosity was peaking as he moved into the hallway.

"89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96," a grin was clear in the other boy's voice. "100!"

"100," James asked, poking his head in but not seeing the other boy, instead his eyes focused on the rows and rows of pennies littering the floors.

"Yeah," Carlos grinned wider, poking his head up from behind his bed. "I have ten dollars in change! Seven dollars in just pennies! Isn't that amazing?"

James stared at the boy who had just appeared before a warm and affectionate smile appeared on his face. "You spent the day counting out your change?"

Carlos blushed. "No! I went to the pool too!"

James chuckled softly and moved over to the Hispanic boy. "Have you counted your piggy bank yet?" He gestured to the other's dresser where an over sized blue ceramic pig sat.

Carlos gasped, "I forgot about blue!" He carefully got up, crawled over the bed and grabbed his piggy bank, moving back to the floor and carefully emptying its contents onto the floor between his legs as he counted. "1, 2, 3, 4," he said.

James smiled and dropped his bag onto his own bed before moving to lie on Carlos' bed with his head hanging over the side that Carlos was on, his chin on the other boy's shoulder a small smile playing at his lips. He watched him count out his coins before glancing back at his profile then down to his neck. This little discovery made him realize how much he loved the Hispanic boy, and he knew one day he'd tell his best friend how he felt, but for now he would just be happy watching his brow furrow as he concentrated on the pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters in front of him.
