Happiness was glowing brightly on retirement day , yet there was an echo of sadness that rang out from each of them. Everyone was singing and having a merry time sitting around a fireplace, exchanging tales of their wonderful experience being a vocaloid. But they were secretly cracking in their shells, afraid to finally split in two. They had grew and learned together, been loved by so many young and even old people, they were a gift and brought cheerfulness to so many people. But tomorrow it was all over.

Len was the first to wipe a tear from his eye, hugging the elder Kaito tightly and wishing they would've admitted their feelings some day along their time as Vocaloids. Then Miku waled, Luka comforted her but eventually broke down as well.

Rin still painted a smile all over her face but Len could sense an overpowerful sadness reeking from her heart. But he also knew that Rin wouldn't cry in front of them, no matter what they did she would stay strong, even if it meant sobbing when she was alone.

When all the vocaloids had expressed their sadness in one way or another Rin had remained silent and her eyes were filled with emptiness. She longed to hold len in her arms and deeply sob into his shoulder, but she was strong. She was always strong.

All of them were gathered into the storage room the next morning, saying last goodbye's to the UTAU's and their friends who were vocaloids, savering every last breath.

Len only shed one tear as he kissed Rin on the cheek and squeezed his hand in hers. But Rin clung to him as Meriam Leon and Lola faded into a storage box, becoming nothing but a memory.

Miku started to wail again as Meiko blew a kiss when she drifted into the foreverness of dreamworld. Kaito kissed Len but before Len could react his mentor had vanished. Len grabbed at the air where Kaito's warmth should've been shedding many tears.

It was Sweet Ann's turn and then Miku was up. After Sweet Ann was nothing Miku said farewells inbetween sobs and was crying into her hands as she left.

Luka kissed Len on the forehead saying goodbye. Rin held his hand and they sang Prisoner and paper planes as they faded, hoping to find the others in space.

The pink haired Teto was eating bread, the other pink haired Luka was humming to herself when they poofed away.

A small child was pawing through boxes twenty years from then and finally found the vocaloids asking daddy if they were dolls.

Master simply replied, "Well, they are missed."
