Just a quick and short piece, didn't really put much thought into it. Definitely not my best.
This was just something I had to get off my chest after rewatching the episode for the millionth time. haha
There was absolutely no doubt in his mind that he loved this woman.
This beautiful and stunning human standing before him, looking so deeply into his eyes that he thought he might be able to see into her mind at some point. This woman, the one that he'd gladly give up his own life for so that she and her family may live. This woman, with her stunning blonde hair and piercing eyes, the one standing in his arms, breathing him in as they said their goodbyes to each other.
This woman that Killian loved, yet he couldn't find it in himself to utter those three simple words to her because he didn't want to put that burden upon her.
The pain tore at him like no other. He had told her days before that she didn't have to worry about losing him. He practically promised.
Yet here he was, heartless and afraid, saying goodbye for what he thought would be the very last time to the woman he had absolutely fallen head over heels for.
It ruined him.
As he made his way out of the sheriff's department, all he could feel was pain. All he could think of was the things he'd never gotten to do with Emma, the things he never said. He was so convinced that she was the one, the one that he would spend the rest of his life with, the one he'd have a family with. He was almost certain that Emma was that woman.
But fate seemed to have other plans. He fully believed that his days were spent and that the Dark One really was going to take his life soon.
His ears flushed red as these thoughts filled his mind. His hands clenched and his eyes began to sting as tears formed.
Killian Jones wasn't the kind of man to cry at the thought of losing a woman, but Emma was an obvious exception.
He allowed these tears to fall.
Constructive criticism and reviews are welcome.
