3 A Valentine's Story 3
I had but one small problem, I had two boys waiting for a valentine from me, and only one valentine to give, now I know that I love Masaya, but I also have some strong feelings for my alien lover, I'm not entirely sure if their positive or negative yet, but they're there. So now I'm sitting at my desk at home, holding onto a small red-wrapped box with a heart-shaped letter on top, wondering to whom it should go to, or should I even give either of them a valentine? My tail is out and twitching irritably, my ears are flat against my head, then I have an idea, I pull out my candy-pink cell phone and I call Zakuro, she surely is the one with the most love experience, it rings twice before she picks up
"Hello?" comes her inquiring voice
"Hi Zakuro, it's me" I answer
"Hello Ichigo, what is the problem now?" she asks
"How do you know there's a problem?" I demanded before adding "Yeah, I have a problem, I have one valentine, but two boys to give to or not, so who should I give it to?" I ask
"Ichigo, you have to let your own heart decide, whatever you decide it will bring you the most happiness, but why do you only have one valentine, for two different people?" she tells me
"I don't want to make another valentine, because I feel like I should pick one sooner rather than later"
"Ichigo, remember to listen to everything a person says, I really have to go to a photo shoot now, I'm sorry, good luck." I hear a click, and second's later dial tone assaults me.
I sigh heavily, follow my heart? What kind of cheesy soap opera advice was that? I guess it was worth a try, I picture each one in my head, Masaya with his soft brown eyes, and coal-black hair, his smiling face… then I think of Kish, his forest-green hair and liquid amber eyes, the way he proclaims his love so freely, his attempts to kill me, or to save me, and the hurt in his eyes when I tell him off time, and time again. I think of a solution.
"Kish?" I yell out into the empty forest, sure enough, he appears, looking somewhat startled
"What is it Kitty~Cat?" he demands suspiciously, I look up into his face, I see the love in his face, I feel that powerful stirring in my heart, I don't want to find out what it is yet, so I silently leave the gift on the ground, and I flee.
I'm at the school grounds now, I look around until I spot him,
"Masaya-Kun" I call, he comes over to me, I present him the heart-shaped card, he takes it and smiles like he's just gotten the best gift ever. I smile inside, relived at my choice, I have made both happy, but I haven't picked which one I will keep yet, I suppose I'll keep putting it off until I have no time left and I must choose, but for now, it has been a happy valentines.
