Neji's POV:
I waited for about 10 minutes, no sign of Lee or Tenten. 'Why aren't they back yet?' I thought as I stood in front of the kunai that was placed in the ground, we had used it to mark where to meet up.
I couldn't take it anymore so I went looking for them. 'Tenten... where are you?... wait a minute, I mean Tenten and Lee... right?' I thought. I shook my head and jumped across the trees searching for my teammates.
I then heard weapons hitting each other. 'Maybe Tenten is fighting...' I thought as I followed the sounds. "Tell us who has it!" I heard a male voice shout. "N-Never!" I heard a female voice shout back. 'That was Tenten' I thought as I hid in the trees close by.
I saw Tenten tied up on her knees, one of the teams was surrounding her. "Anwser me, who has the scroll?" One of the men on the team asked as he glared at tenten, who looked beaten up at the moment.
"I... I told you... I won't tell..." Tenten said as she looked down at the ground. Then other man on the team slapped tenten across the face. I suddenly got this feeling of rage inside me.
The female member of the team took out a kunai and stood right in front of Tenten. "You have one last chance, tell us or you die" The girl threatened. Tenten had blood coming out her mouth but she smirked. "Wouldn't you just kill me after I told you?" She asked. The members of the other team growled at her, the girl stabbed Tenten in the side with her kunai. 'Why the hell am I just standing here, go help her for gods sake!' I screamed to myself in my head.
I activated my byakugan and jumped down from the tree I was hiding in. "Ah, there's your other teammate" The female member said with a smirk. Tenten looked at me in shock. I took out a kunai and charged at them, they were pretty easy to kill, I don't know how Tenten got tied up like that. Once they were all dead, I cut the ropes around Tenten and started wrapping her wounds. "So how did you get trapped by these weaklings?" I asked.
She sighed and mumbled something but I didn't understand her. "What?" I asked. "They were looking for you!" She snapped. I raised an eye brow. She sighed. "They were looking for which one of us at the scroll, I let myself get caught by them so they wouldn't go after you or lee" Tenten said as she looked away from me. "So you let yourself get captured and tortured to stall time for me and Lee?" Neji asked. She only nodded. "That was pretty stupid" I said. 'Neji you idiot, how could you say that to her!?' I yelled at myself in my head. She looked at me and glared. "Sorry for caring about you, it won't happen again" Tenten said coldly as she stood up.
I rolled my eyes and stood up, I grabbed her arm before she could walk away. "That is not what I men't and you know it!" I yelled as I glared at her. "Then what do you mean Neji, I tried to help you and Lee and you said it was a stupid thing to do, well you know what else was stupid Neji, liking you in the first place!" She yelled. I blinked a few times in shock and confusion. She gasped and covered her mouth.
"Tenten..." I said in slight shock. She glared at me and started walking away. "Just forget it" She said coldly. "Tenten!" I yelled as I grabbed her shoulder and forced her to look at me. "N-Neji w-what are you doing?..." She asked with wide eyes. I ignored her and brushed my lips against hers for a second. I pulled back and stared at her, she looked surprised. "Lets go find Lee" I said calmly as I started to walk away. I heard her foot steps and then a warm hand in mine, I looked down to see Tenten holding my hand, I smirked and we went to go find Lee.
