"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" yelled Conan when he saw a person looking similar but different from Shinichi, and surprisingly, he wasn't wearing his usual flashy costume.

Kaito Kuroba was the person he least expected to see standing in the middle of Professor Agasa's living room.

"What I'm doing?" said Kaito, "I'm drinking coffee."

"That isn't what I meant." growled Conan, pooping up the top of his stun-gun watch.

"Whoa!" said the professor, "Calm down, Shinichi!"

"Why are you just standing there like that?" demanded Conan, "A thief is right in your house. Call the police!"

"You don't have any proof, you know." said Kaito, grinning.

"WHY ARE YOU HERE?" said Conan, frustrated, "You sure didn't send a notice."

"So." said Kaito, "You're Shinichi Kudo."

"Yeah, and you're Kaito Kid." said Conan, "I thought so."

"I was going to ask you a favor."

"What do I owe you?"

"Well," said Kaito, "I heard from the professor that you have been chasing after a certain organization."

"You happen to know something about that?" asked Conan, suddenly interested.

"Actually, I've been trying to get at a certain organization as well." said Kaito, "And lately, after doing some research, I think there is a one person that is a little suspicious."

"Who?"

"Chris Vineyard."

"Ha!" said Conan, "I already know that."

"And." said Kaito, "She used to be a student of my father."

"I know that too." said Conan, bored, "That's how she and my mom are friends."

"My father was the first Kaito Kid."

'Really?"

"You don't sound that surprised." said Kaito.

"Well duh." said Conan, "The techniques during the heists changed somewhat after the phantom thief's revival, so I deduced that it was possible that Kaito Kid used to be a different person."
