TEN FEET
This was my worst nightmare come true, I was hanging from a rope tied up ten feet off the ground. Under me were a bunch of celestial spikes, and if you're wondering where I am, I'm in Luke's base, yeah that's right I've been captured by Luke and his herd of monsters. I was sentenced to death by Kronos and I shall be killed in a mear two hours, two hours to focus on how I got here and who did it. Annabeth Chase, my best friend she brought me into this trap she finally left us and went with Luke, I thought we were...it doesn't matter I'm doomed in less than an hour and a half. I was wrong to trust her she sold me out for Luke, her first love.
"Percy," I hear someone say in a whisper. I look around no one's there.
"Percy," I hear again but a little louder. Still no one's there. Then in between the spikes a figure shimmers into existence...Annabeth.
She gave me a faint smile and looked at the ground.
"I need you" She whispered to me as she took out her knife. Like a boomerang she threw it at the rope cutting it and her knife came back down to her. Hanging by one single strand I looked towards Annabeth and I aw her giving me a reassuring smile as soon as I looked up the rope broke and I was sent tumbling towards the ground. My eyes were closed the whole time so I didn't realize Annabeth had caught me and put me down til she said.
"Open your eyes seaweed brain," I did and saw Annabeth smiling thoughtfully and she was untieing me. After all the rope was off I stood up and started walking when Annabeth grabbed my shoulder.
"Percy-," I heard the sadness in her voice.
"Don't touch me," I simply said, then she let go, I heard o few tears hit the ground, but I still didn't turn around.
"I'm sorry Percy," Annabeth said in between sobs. "Percy I need you, please don't leave yet."
That's when I turned around and saw here tear stained face. I couldn't look at her sad face.
"It's too late to apologize, you betrayed me and it's too late," I turned back around and started to walk. I heard her fall to her knees and start sobbing louder.
I turned back around and walked to her. She was sobbing into her hands and I couldn't help myself. I got on one knee reaching her height and picked her face up in my hands instantly drying her face.
"Annabeth remember what ever happens between us, I always love you Annabeth Chase," I said and her eyes widened. I pulled her head into me and our lips locked together. She pulled me into the kiss trying to make it last longer, but we finally let go.
She smiled and gave me a big hug squeezing me up against her chest. I started stroking her hair.
"Don't let Luke push you around," I said. "And we will meet again, I swear on the river Styx."
Annabeth looked up to me and kissed me harder slipping her tongue into my mouth. We let go of each other and she hugged me more. I helped her up but she didn't let go.
"I will always love you Annabeth, no matter what you do remember that, and when this is all over...I'm finding you," I said smiling.
Annabeth smiled and said. "Go Percy I'll meet back up with you,"
I gave her another kiss not sure of what would happen to her but I pray to the gods nothing bad. I left her there knowing that I loved her and always will, there is no other love for me she's the only love I'll ever have.
