Well, I never saw this coming.
Zelda: Never saw what?
The day I would write a romance fic. Not only that, it's poetry, too!
Link: Its not that bad.
Just do the disclaimer.
Zelda/Link: StarburstWolf does not own anything related to Smash Bros. Only a copy to Brawl.
"Hey! Ike! Marth!"
Both swordsmen turned around to see who was calling them. They saw it was none other than Zelda.
"Hey, Zelda", Ike said, "What's up?"
"Have either of you seen Link by any chance?" Zelda inquired. She was still in her nightgown, which made sense, because usually most Smashers stayed in their pajamas until after breakfast.
"No.", Marth asked, a little confused. "Why?"
"Nothing much. I just went to the dining hall and he wasn't there."
"Oh." Ike thought for a while. "…Maybe he's still sleeping. He's probably still in his room."
Zelda then thanked Ike and Marth, and left to the Legend of Zelda rooms. She walked up to one and knocked on the door.
"Link? Are you in here? Hello?" When no answer came, Zelda opened the door to an empty room. She walked inside and looked around.
Hmm, Zelda thought, Link isn't here either… What's this?
Zelda gazed curiously at a pencil and paper on Link's night table. She read what was written on it and was surprised at what she read.
Your Beauty and Flare
In a brawl, I swing my sword and fight with ease,
But when I see you, I drop to my knees
I cannot fight the beautiful royal heir,
You spin and fight with shine and great flare,
You knock me off the stage, as I was unprepared and unaware,
Much to the dismay of Smashers supporting me out there,
But my loss was worth it because I admire you,
And I know you were glad about your victory, too
So nowadays I ponder and think,
I know I love thee, but do you love me?
It doesn't say who it was for, Zelda thought, But it says 'royal heir'. So, maybe-
"It was for you, Zelda" She suddenly jerked around to see Link, who was standing in the doorway.
"Oh, Link! I- uh, I didn't mean to- erm" Zelda was soon cut off by Link.
"It's okay, Princess. Don't worry about it."
The Hylian princess looked down at the ground. An awkward silence soon settled in.
"The poem… it was nice."
"Pardon?"
Zelda looked up at Link. "The poem you wrote. It was beautiful. And, yes, Link. I… I love you."
The two stared at each other for a moment. Then, in one, fluid motion, Zelda walked up to link and hugged him. "Thank you, Link."
"For the poem?"
"No. For your love."
Well, what did ya think? Be easy, I'm still practicing writing.
Now, shoo! Go review!
