Erza rushed from person to person, making sure everything was ready for her friend's special day. "That better be strawberry cake," she barked at the caterer, who withered under her scorching gaze and nodded feebly. "Good." She said cheerfully, although there was a hidden edge of malice that said, if you're lying, I will find you, and I will kill you.
Mirajane, meanwhile, was celebrating her victory. Finally, the couple I shipped most!
Juvia was fawning over her Gray-Sama, of course.
Gray was trying to get away from Juvia's affections.
Happy was eating fish. Erza was going to kill him; he was getting stains on his suit.
Carla and Wendy were busy helping the nervous groom calm down.
Gajeel and Levy were having an argument about a rare metal-bound book Gajeel had eaten. Levy was pissed. Gajeel was terrified.
Master Makarov was straightening his bow tie. Finally, he was going to be able to walk one of his "children" down the aisle.
Lucy smiled in the mirror. She looked good, if she did say so herself. Her white gown was tight in the bodice and flared out from the waist all the way to the floor. She had opted out of a veil and instead wore a crown of white roses. It was time.
The bridal march played as Lucy walked down the aisle after her flower girl, Wendy, her maid of honor, Levy, and her bridesmaids, Erza, Cana, Mirajane, and Juvia. Arm in arm with Makarov and Loke, for she couldn't choose a better pair to give her away, she smoked at her nervous groom.
Natsu was sweating bullets. She just looked so damn beautiful. When she got to the altar, it was all he could do not to sweep her into his arms and kiss her right there.
Lucy and Natsu could barely hear the vows, they were so entranced with each other. Lucy held Natsu's hands tightly. "I do," they said at the appropriate times. Finally, the king of Fiore, who was presiding, said, "You may kiss-" Before he could finish, Natsu swept Lucy into his arms and kissed her.
It wasn't a chaste peck on the lips, either. It is as a full blown kiss, bordering on a make out session. Natsu kissed Lucy in the middle of everyone, in Cardia Cathedral.
Their life would be a happy one, of that, everyone was certain.
